After the Fall by Giana Darling

While it’s true that in the description says that you can read After The Fall as and stand-alone book, I wouldn’t recommended. Because you’re missing the first half of the story.
We are four years apart from the first book, Lessons In Corruption, when King and Cressida met each other, she it’s his teacher at EBA in that moment, so their love is forbidden. I’m not going to spoiled much about this book, because if you haven’t read it, then you should.
So, as I was saying, four years had passed. The story begins with King, who’s graduated with an honour degree in business, prospecting to The Fallen MC to be a fully patched member of the club.
After the murder of the Mayor Lafayette at the hands of Javier Ventura—the same man who replaces him and becomes mayor of Entrance—The Staff Sergeant of the police department , Harold Danner, begins to deal with the Ventura’s in an attempt to get rid of the Garro family and The Fallen.
A war starts between the police and the fallen, until it reaches critical point, when Zeus Garro is framed for murder of the oficial Gibson, and gone to jail. Again.
I would say that this one is my favourite so far. After the Fall is AMAZING in my eyes. I swear that I cried my soul in this book like I haven’t in a long time reading a book. During the whole two chapters where King and Cress are getting married and Zeus isn’t there I cried. Every time. Then, even when I knew he wasn’t dead because I read it in the epilogue of Good gone Bad, I cried my ass for King.
When in the introduction Gianna says that it’ll be rough waters I never thought that it would be so literally.
I’d said it but I’ll do it again. I just want the type of love that King and Cress have. Their love is so tangible, without restrictions or barriers. So real and pure, with a connection so beyond words that I envy with all I have.
At first when King is talking about a professor that intrigued him I was like ‘what’s going on?’ I sure as fuck pee my pants thinking that it was someone else. I literally cursed him in a thousand different ways even in the languages I don’t fucking know.
I missed him all the way between the other books in the series before this one, and they’re only two, so I’m sure that I’ll miss him again. He’s my favourite and I didn’t knew until I read a more mature and grown version of King Kyle Garro.

I’ve absolutely love their story. In the other books Gianna doesn't delve too deep into the characters, they appear for sure, but it’s not the same as it was with, Idk, Harleigh Rose or Zeus, if you know what I mean. Nova it’s always the pretty boy and you don’t know that that’s actually an insecurity of the character and I think the development of his character was one of the best, actually; for me at least.
Also, I never could picture Lila because again, Gianna doesn’t go deep in them so, when I read that how she was, was very refreshing somehow. I love her.
I cried my soul in the first few chapters because it was tragedy after tragedy and I was like “when is this gonna end?” Because seriously I cried so hard when they told her that Dane was dead and then he wasn’t dead at all. Bitch, you’re kidding me
Also, I never could picture Lila because again, Gianna doesn’t go deep in them so, when I read that how she was, was very refreshing somehow. I love her.

Parte de mis capítulos favoritos se encontraban en esta parte del libro.
Capítulo 45: Mi favorita. Cuando Christopher y Rachel bailan tango? Es sublime para mi.
El «te amo» en el mar Mediterráneo, el rescate en Positano, Christopher reconociendo sus sentimientos y moviendo cielo, mar y tierra. Él preparando la casa en la isla, condicionándola para Rachel después de su adicción. Christopher hablándole a Daddy Reece para que lo ayude con la recuperación de Raichil.
"Fue un gusto servir en su ejército, mi coronel".
"Hasta nunca, soldado".
EL EPÍLOGO NUEVO NARRADO POR CHRIS.
Para mi todo lo bueno empieza con el exilio, porque la verdad es que el desarrollo que los personajes tienen después de eso y el drama que se desglosa en los libros siguientes es jugoso, colosal y todo lo que está bien.
Lascivia siempre tendrá un pedacito de mi. Para mi, releer estos libros es enamorarse de Christopher Morgan una y otra vez.

Volver a leer los inicios de Rachel James y Christopher Morgan, estando en el ultimo libro de su historia (Deseo), siempre va a ser nostálgico, agridulce.
Comencé a leer PP en el año 2020, cuando estaba en Wattpad sin censurar todavía. No tenía la fama que tiene hoy en día, eso puedo asegurárselos, pero cuando comencé esta travesía, Lascivia ya estaba abriéndose su camino paso a pacito. Y, aunque sólo han sido dos años, amo ver cómo ha crecido de forma desmesurada.
Lascivia no es mi libro favorito de PP, pero si guarda un lugar especial en mi corazón como lectora, porque fue el primer libro que logró hacerme sentir tantas emociones. Recuerdo que podía pasarme toda la madrugada esperando que Eva actualizara y temblaba de ansiedad por saber que pasaría en el próximo capítulo.
Pueden decir muchas cosas de PP y de los libros de Eva en general, —porque de Dominio también se dicen muchas cosas— pero si hay algo que no se puede negar es que, la manera en la que escribe Eva, te hace empatizar tanto con sus protagonistas que terminas viviendo la historia como si fueras un personaje más.
Leer una versión más «madura», detallada y ordenada de Lascivia, desarrollando la trama como se debía, y tocando temas que en su momento fueron demasiado polémicos —la selva, el trato de Rachel hacia ella, su relación con Chris—, con una mayor profundidad y evolución fue algo que amé.
Si bien es cierto, durante todo el libro se nos recalca que son soldados muy capaces de arriesgar su vida e ir a las misiones más arriesgadas a que les bombardeen el culo y salir victoriosos, también es cierto que son seres humanos y hay que tener en cuenta que a la edad de Rachel (22 años), podemos esperar errores e inmadurez y es completamente válido.
Viven su vida esperando morir. Para mi es lógico en algunas ocasiones el comportamiento de los personajes. Y su evolución se ve a lo largo de la historia, ya sea para bien o para mal.
