Absolutely recommend the audiobook the narrator is fantastic. This is a pretty great summary on the past couple decades of the US Supreme Court. I really appreciated the in depth look into each sitting justice, their history, and insight for each individual. This was super informative and even if you've been reading the news for years and know all these cases and stories. There's so much details that the headlines and articles passed over and provided me with new perspectives. If you haven't been keeping up with the news, this is a great catch up on everything you've missed.

I think if you're a sports person wanting to learn more about social justice this book will really resonate with you. but even if you're not, like myself, this book offers a whole new perspective on sports and athletes i never would have thought about. I would absolutely recommend this book because the insight it offers on the importance of athletes and the role they play in the demand for equality is not something I really considered before.
Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right by Jane Mayer

This book was... long. but i think it's important that it included all the information that it does. Mayer traces money trails all the way back to the 80s and connects names to the various organizations that billionaires use to influence politics. at times its overwhelming and exhausting but again, having the money trails written down like this? i think is huge. there was a lot of research done for this and it really shows. its not the most thrilling read, but i think its an important one.

4.5 stars but rounding up :) this book was fantastic. great analysis on connecting different movements across generations and nations, and the importance of solidarity. my only complaint is the format, since it is a collection of interviews, speeches, and essays, there are some word for word repetitions.

I'm not much of a starwars person but the audiobook for this is one of the best I've ever listened to. narrator went all in on voice acting for each character.
