Always loved Fulci movies especially The Gates of Hell trilogy so it is amazing to see a novel set in the world and it is well worth a read even if you have not heard of Fulci.

Very good. A mix of 80s style slasher (but set in the 90s for a change) and haunted house story. Very unique.

I enjoyed it but was not quite what I was expecting. It was more of a novelisation of the movie with ‘extended scenes’ rather than a prequel like the Origins title suggests. Although it does have some origin story too. I just do not recommend reading this and the original novelisation back to back like I did as they are too similar.

A really good novelisation of the classic 80s vampire comedy. I’m not even a big fan of vampires but have always really enjoyed the movie and now this book, really glad it is still in publication.

Amazing, a good 80s style slasher. However, it is not just a copy and paste of a 80s horror movie it is actually very unique. A classic slasher with a twist.

An awesome novelisation of Re-animator. Not only it is basically word for word the movie like most novelisations but it flushes it out adding more details and scenes. Was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed it but it is not what you may except. It is not at all a horror or creepy in anyway. However, it is a good read and I really thought the setting in a hospice with terminal kids was very good but sad.

Wow amazingly well written, loved the writing style. Loved the setting, period and characters. I got it as an ARC but really enjoyed it so I’ve now purchased the other book in the series to read Wrath of N'kai.
