I really wish there was more of an introduction to this world and the characters because it really felt like I had been thrown in there, almost like it was the second book of a series rather than the first of some interconnected standalones.

I think this book could have overall benefited from another look prior to publishing because there were a few spelling and grammar mistakes but overall a solid book with a very satisfying ending

- I can't believe they fucked on Parsnip, justice for her
- MRS. BARNES WILL NEVER DIE (I thought Bryan had actually stabbed her through the skull rather than whacked her with the hilt and thank god for that)
- Fiona really ate with the brutally murdering that bitch Bryan whilst still in active labor (I initially thought she was delivering the placenta really slowly) and then riding her horse to drop off that bastard's head just a few hours after pushing out two babies!!!
- I was mad at Callum, as we all were, but making him Bryan's son is a solid move tbh. It does also make him Fiona's nephew-in-law technically.
- DESMOND!!!!
- Another hell yeah to the way she handled her family AND MRS. JEPSON!!!
- At first I was hoping Elsie would be the Fiona look-a-like who was missing for the majority of this book but now I'm hoping not what with the Douglas and all
- Dang she didn't have sex for 5 years
