Lucas being 21 was already very iffy for me
but when the mf turned out to be 18????? 18 is too young for ANYTHING.
I considered DNF'ing it there but figured I'd already invested enough time and I liked where the story was getting. Plus I like the whole Cass and Zed situation too. I also aged them all up 5 years in my head so I just stuck with my personal delusions.

Pretty lit that the "I wish for a million wishes" worked out for her. I also relate to Amy though cause I also want to know what a blowjob feels like from the receiver's end!!

I'm also not personally a degradation girlie, but I think it worked for their dynamic. Doesn't mean I enjoyed it though, nor did I really like the whole "Daddy" thing and then the whole "you'll have my kid no matter what you say." Also I don't think he really made up for the whole choking her out situation, especially cause it wasn't even him who told Amy the whole situation.

I really liked Asan and having his POV def helped too so it was a little tough coming to Ridwan after.

So rationally I understand why Asan doesn't wear pants (what with the snake body and all), but god does it tickle me that this giant hulk of a man-snake is out there Winnie the Pooh-ing it with just a shirt.

I liked the progression of their relationship, especially when Asan was honest about him freaking out about their working situation and then accepting that he loved her. The sex scenes physically pained me, but what a talker Asan is!!! I normally don't like "pet" or "my love" as nicknames,  but I didn't mind them coming from Asan.

Another "ya'll" book!!! I didn't think past Johnny was all that bad, tbh, he was just a shitty kid quite literally lashing out cause he liked a girl. Doesn't excuse him being an ass to Zee, but not as bad as I was expecting. Fuck that whole town though. The handful of good people, I love (though I couldn't even really place who they are the majority of the time). I like Eric and Will more than Johnny tbh.

I do wish Zee was more of the focus of their relationship, I think that's why MM typically doesn't do it for me. I also wish we got more of Luke earlier in the story. I also don't like that Johnny was so pissy with Zee about the Luke plan cause I don't think that was warranted at all. 75% of this book is him getting Zee to accept him and then he's just favoring Luke over her??? Not favoring but you get the vibe.

I don't love the "not like other girls trope" but it is what it is. And it's y'all not ya'll; it's short for you all!!! I fucking hate all three of the boys, they were dicks back then and they're dicks now. I usually like it when the MMCs are relentless in their pursuit but with their past and their absolute fucking refusal to listen to Betsy for more than 12 seconds, it feels very steamroller-y. Very much "I apologized once so now it's time to get over it and admit you like me." And the lassoing her like cattle felt so rude. I pretty much skipped over the sex scenes cause I was so annoyed with the men.

I do at least appreciate Remy saving himself for Betsy, even if he didn't do it consciously. Showed that maybe there was even a crumb of a thought about her while they were gone for FIVE YEARS. I kind of wish she had been with someone since Clyde though.

Big fan of David though, he seems like a lovely guy. It was nice to see at least one male on Betsy's side. And Renee is such a gem, I love her.

Unsure if I'll read the second book, tbh.

I skipped ahead a bit at first cause I wanted to make sure Isla's story was still included in this book. I was also a little worried that this was going to be essentially the same story told again but from a different POV rather than advancing. Tbh I kind of skipped through the Alistair-Rian-Matthieu portions cause I didn't care about them as much as Isla and the guardians.

I'm hoping that A-R-M don't get added to her harem and just have their own thing going on. I also clocked that Matthieu was asexual pretty early so I did enjoy his POV's about his lack of sexual arousal but still feeling a certain way toward Alistair and Isla.

I'm glad the guys are so sweet and so forthcoming with their affection after everything Isla went through. I was kind of hoping it would be like an Ice Planets Barbarian situation where she could get a translator or something put into her brain, but I can also appreciate her learning the language.

Cherries aren't really pink but I love the name Cherry for her car. The Prians sound like giant cats and I want to pet one cause I love cats. Also I think Lucy should have let Felix kill everyone, but that's just me.

As someone who also likes puns, I can appreciate everyone's name. Also I think it's funny that the last thing Lucy said was "I'm staying in Summerland" and the next book is called "Leaving Summerland." Kathryn Moon, ya nut.
