Gypsy Truths by Kristy Cunning

This series really made me crave oranges. Also SO MUCH happens in this book, my goodness. 

I honestly completely forgot about Anna having told Violet who she really was until about halfway into this book. And then that whole thing got a little muddled with the Hyde and Jack thing. I do love me a powered tf up heroine though.

And the fact that she had already come to terms with it and made peace AND could control it?????? A literal slay. And the display case!!!! Emily was also a pleasant surprise.

The real fantasy aspect of this is that Violet gets off from just penetration, no foreplay, every time.

I LOVE Violet and how strong she's become. And I love that everyone around her loves her as well, even Vance's dad.

I love that Violet's sticking to her convictions and giving the (stupid) men a hard time.

Vance's bit about looking up diamond rings made me think that I was reading Arion's POV for a second, but it's very cute.

I still don't really know what's going on if I'm quite honest.

I love Shera, I hope she and Violet end up being besties. It could be because I am a bit ~inebriated~ but there were some parts of the story I simply did not follow along with. I'm glad Arion finally knows that Violet's immortal now at least.

I'm still not a huge fan of the writing tbh. I like Candace a lot but she does feel a smidge infantilized to me. I don't think I'll continue the series but it was definitely an interesting story.

As a Dorothy, I completely get where Dot's coming from with the Kansas jokes. The story isn't bad though I don't think it's written well. I'll read the next few books at least before deciding to continue the series or not.

Klutz: Phoenix Revenge by Sedona Ashe
Did not finish book. Stopped at 60%.

I'm disappointed that I didn't find this series as funny as it was hyped up to be. In all honesty, I think she has too many mates for me to really care about any of them all that much; maybe if it were just the jaguars or like 1 jaguar with T and X.

I ended up DNF-ing about halfway through this book because I just didn't find the story that interesting.
