this book was so good, it humanized the palestinian experience and was written so gut wrenchingly

Frankly I disliked this book and had a hard time even finishing it. I am such a huge fan of the poppy war and this book was a disappointing follow up by rfk. Every single page made me so angry and the book almost felt like rage bait. All the points the book tried to make were very explicit and didn't leave much room for the reader to do any thinking at all. An interesting premise but fell flat.

the characters in this book were so messy… and ever’s a better person than me i never could’ve spoken to someone
released what was basically her nudes. also homegirl should’ve had the conversation of not wanted to be a doctor WAYYYY before college apps like she’s crazy for this. especially after getting into a bs/md at NORTHWESTERN.
also xavier deserved better.

i don’t typically read nonfiction but i really enjoyed this book especially because of my prior interest in north korea but this really highlighted the experience of a variety of individuals living during the 1990s in north korea
