i really enjoyed this, i think i like anthologies more than i realize. i love the optimism this offered while still being realistic to what people’s day to days look like and how your mindset helps you make the most of your life

i really needed a book like this right now. it was really raw and although jayne annoyed me sometimes she seemed like a real person. i need more books with the protagonist in college / college aged. the themes relating sisterhood and family always get me, man i teared up towards the end.

i really liked the writing style and the descriptions throughout the entire book. i love reading about queer friend groups and just queer life in general. it was interesting seeing aria interact with working class queer people coming from her more well to do background. however i really dislike the infidelity that happened. like i understand the point wasn’t that it was “romantic” or “good” but it still annoyed me. also why would you have sex right after your grandma had a stroke can we be serious

Frankly I disliked this book and had a hard time even finishing it. I am such a huge fan of the poppy war and this book was a disappointing follow up by rfk. Every single page made me so angry and the book almost felt like rage bait. All the points the book tried to make were very explicit and didn't leave much room for the reader to do any thinking at all. An interesting premise but fell flat.
