ann liang truly knows how to write a ya romance. this was so cute however i felt like it was a bit rushed at times and eliza made me very annoyed sometimes.

the characters in this book were so messy… and ever’s a better person than me i never could’ve spoken to someone

released what was basically her nudes. also homegirl should’ve had the conversation of not wanted to be a doctor WAYYYY before college apps like she’s crazy for this. especially after getting into a bs/md at NORTHWESTERN.

also xavier deserved better.

i don’t typically read nonfiction but i really enjoyed this book especially because of my prior interest in north korea but this really highlighted the experience of a variety of individuals living during the 1990s in north korea
