I really like this story. I might actually give 4.5 stars since the writing is a little dry, but I can’t decide if I like that style. It made reading some of the more horrifying parts a lot easier - sort of passive - and I think it reflected the main character’s personality and outlook. I am not a horror fan so that’s a plus for me, but if the story and plot hadn’t been so good, the book may have lost interest to me since my emotions weren’t gripped till the last third of the book. I enjoyed the ending a lot, and love the fact that the female character is so pragmatic and strong.
