3/5, style of writing was not my cup of tea. I will continue to read his baseball articles though when I stumble upon them

Lmao no. I already watched HBO's Chernobyl. Upon reading the prologue, I immediately realised I do not need another anxiety-inducing long-form piece of entertainment

“Funny how that works out, isn’t it? That we can find the most unexpected things when we aren’t even looking for them.”

This book is mostly perfect.

There were some issues, like characters sharing mannerisms and a few repetitive phrases here and there.

But that's not enough to overcome the wholesome and sometimes tear-jerking content this book provides. Every character here is a delight, and I'm grateful that I read this book when I did.

4.5/5

Spoiler alert:

I will say though that the book really picks up once Linus opens up more.

It's important for people to know that this is more of a scientific book than a motivational or even a self-help book. Many technical terms abound, and some of the fluff can be trimmed without detracting from the book's message. But on the whole, Spark does a good job fleshing out the (surprisingly) concrete and wide-reaching benefits that exercise has, which kinda makes it a motivational book in that I'm more motivated to exercise now.

It's a very good book for people like me, aka students who don't know how to clean/organize a house. It's also an excellent gift for your teenaged loved one.
