This was a long book, but I feel I still wanted more in the end. An epilogue maybe about how things are with various things.
We got some vague answers to stuff and open endings, maybe for everyone to decide their own, but... did they abolish the games? Did everyone get citizenship? Was the imperial cult eradicated?
I was expecting there to be a bigger context for the seed spreading ancient cult habit of forcing a teenager to have sex and children. I guess there was sort of an answer with it being revealed, it ended up being a perversed tradition from its original intent, but it didn't apparently have anything to do with the plot.
I so much would love to have a Brie novella. Things from her side. And now that she's a citizen, still going back to Earth? That should be interesting.
And in what sort of chaos is Earth in, as the population basically burned the place down...
So many questions. Need more answers!
I enjoyed this a lot. But more answers pls!

Still enjoying the series very much, but this book wasn't as well edited as the first. There were some minor irks with continuity and gaps.

I think I heard about this through some podcast... don't remember anymore, but after looking for my next read, the cover caught my attention on my Kobo. After looking this up here in GR, as a sci-fi reader, I was intrigued.
The setting and characters drew me into the story, and I could lose myself in it; which is what I want out of my books. In a way this reminded me of the Dark Angel TV-series in a good way, though being different.
To all those looking for futuristic sci-fi, where corporations run the world, and the leading character kicks arse: this is for you.

Maddie is such a breeze of fresh air. Getting back to her world was a joy; hadn’t realised how much I’d missed her!
Loved to see the casual dominance Maddie asserts while being naive and overly confident of her succeess.
Also, poor Lockhart. XD
