This is a collection of cover art by Lee Bermejo, with an added narrative intertwining them together. The story it tells is sparse, only expressed in letters, but the main focus isn't on that anyways; this is for fans of the aforementioned artist, with the light plot serving only as the cherry on top.

This starts off really interesting, with many members of a community all seeing the same man in their dreams, but the second half and ending devolves into a rushed, cliché dream-within-a-dream and a what's-really-real scenario that I did not find compelling AT ALL.

I was thoroughly enjoying the first half of this book, unravelling the threads of a very convoluted cult-mystery, but the second half really disappointed me, as it had quite a few unbelievable twists (even for an over-the-top thriller), and a cliché wrap-up, that wasn't fulfilling. I also did not particularly like the characters, even the ones I felt the author wanted to show in a sympathetic light, so a lot of the intended emotional incidents did not leave as big an impact as they should have. On a more positive note, though, the writing is well done and the author clearly has a talent at creating a vast catalog of characters, and playing with formatting in a fun way, such as creating various legal documents, etc, to give the reader a plethora of details and multiple viewpoints, so it may be quite an engaging read for those interested in dark, obscure thrillers with a large cast.

This is an absolute love letter to Marvel's founding family, the Fantastic Four. The art by Alex Ross is, unsurprisingly, brilliant as well, with the gorgeous renderings and vibrant, neon colors being both beautiful, and also a perfect homage to retro science-fiction art. Ross moves beyond his more notable, iconic, painterly style and uses a more graphite and emphasized line-work approach, but the result is, nonetheless, astonishing! (and a breath of fresh air for superhero comics). I absolutely hope more characters get their own Alex Ross renditions such as this! This is truly a real treat for sci-fi fans, and Marvel fans alike - my favorite comic of the year! (2022).

This is a surreal, emotional, and often confusing comic about a man awaiting the return of his wife, a performer at a nightclub/jazz bar? during a chaotic rainstorm and flood. There are constantly shifting narratives, and much is up for interpretation.

This is a quick read that doesn't really introduce anything new and groundbreaking to the sci-fi genre, or comic medium, but was an overall fun read. The characters are diverse, and feel authentic, and the artwork is very colorful.

Admittingly, I haven't read much Captain Marvel in a while, and picked this one up because of it's very cool cover, but I also really enjoyed this! Guess I need to grab a few collected editions of this run and get caught up!

This was less a 25 year celebration, and more an advertisement for what seems to be a reboot I'm seemingly not interested in.

This is the first issue of what seems like a pretty solid retelling of the Fantastic Four's earlier stories.

This seems to be a more lighthearted take than I expected, but I am interested in reading more.
