This book was a lot of fun, but it also made me sad, bc it portrays topics like ED and homophobia and coming out that hit close to home. I feel like itâs important to talk about these things, so thank you alice oseman for not sweeping them under the rug and for depicting them with lots of care<3

I am loving this series. All the characters are beautifully written (and drawn) and the story is very inclusive. I cannot wait for volume 4! I know that I can read it online too, but I love reading this in this format, so I wonât.
âThe squad are togetherââŚ? Really? None of them have any semblance of a dynamic. The squad was never a thing. Just three random couples + Aled and they donât have a relationship with each other either. I enjoy Tao as he has a real character with real flaws and demonstrates an issue you donât frequently see in outing narratives (also the panelling work for him is great). I like this view on outing stories: no oneâs a villain most of the time. It just happens. Although Aled telling them about it so out of the blue like surely this would have happened before? The details of Charlie being bullied are so vague and the timeline doesnât even line up.
