Dove into the next book in the series

I really enjoyed this book and the mysteries that we’re solving along with our female lead. Despite enjoying this book, I really disliked David. I don’t know but there was just something about him that rubbed me the wrong way and I really hope that he’s not the love interest for the rest of the books.

Intriguing read.

i absolutely loved reading every single part of this book. it is definitely one of the better murder mystery y.a. books that i’ve read. i highly recommended it!

A good YA murder mystery being solved by a teen.  My one gripe is that it was not completely solved and instead it says read the next book in the series.

Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Nostalgic vibes similar to the author's Shades of London series. It's a book that's easy to fall into (especially after going through a reading slump) and has truly loveable characters that I think everyone who has ever felt out of place can relate to. Potentially a victim to some typical YA tropes, but that's what makes it so good! Can't wait to read the next one :)

what

I loved this book and I can’t wait till the second book in this series. I love mystery and I love historical fiction and in a way this kinda made a fictional history and I love how it told two stories at once. It was super compelling and kept me hooked the whole time.
