The first half was boring and I wasn’t a fan of the jumping POV. Switched to the audiobook, which really helped. The last 1/3 of the book was the best of the whole thing, but the ending was a weak move.

This book was awesome!
When i started reading i couldn't clearly remember what it was about and also when i read 1930 i was shocked because i don't tend to read books set in the past (Clockwork Angel series excluded) but as i read more and more i got hooked.

I'm pissed i didn't get any answers in this book! We have so many mysteries and NO ANSWERS
Spoiler WHO KILLED HAYES, WHO KIDNAPPED ALICE AND IRIS, WHO KILLED DOLORES?!?

Though i got no answers whatsoever i enjoyed this book very much. I was so intrigued by our main character Stevie and her passion for crime and crime podcasts that i browsed through the podcast category in Spotify and downloaded an episode from Serial Killers, and i loved it! Now I'm downloading more and more episodes, so thanks to Maureen for introducing crime podcasts to me!
I have a crazy theory
Spoiler that Iris wanted to escape with Alice or something like that along with Albert's assistant or something and no one actually kidnapped them but something went very wrong and Iris ended up dead whilst Alice is still alive, YES I BELIEVE SHE DIDN'T DIE!

I am disappointed to say i didn't really care for the other characters. Hayes annoyed me and I'm glad that
Spoiler he is dead

CANT WAIT FOR THE SECOND BOOK

This was fun, but I was very disappointed by the ending.
I realized things weren't going to be wrapped up, but I didn't realize just how unwrapped they'd be.
I liked it a lot though, interesting characters, well written, and I get that it's a book for high schoolers, so it's not like it has to be the longest most complex thing, but it's really like it if it had a more complete ending.

This book had absolutely nothing and so much going on at the same time. The first 200 pages were so boring and the last 200 were confusing and still boring

I was a bit worried at first that Stevie was going to be 'not like other girls' but that calms down after a bit and Stevie is really enjoyable. The dual mysteries are done really well and Johnson is a pretty classic YA author so you always know her novels will be quirky and engaging reads. I'm excited to read the second in this series!

Ich bin so hyped weiterzulesen!!!!!
Weil ich mich doch schon ans Ende erinnern konnte, war es nicht so ein krasser Plot Twist, aber es gb trotzdem Dinge wo ich
