I love Jennifer Crusie. I love every book of hers I’ve ever read, and this one did not disappoint. Funny, charming characters. Ghosts. Weird kids. What more could you want!?

Maybe This Time is a sweet, fun, quick read. I enjoyed the characters and the lighthearted tone of the story. Even though there are some serious moments, there are more instances of laughter, and I really liked finding out what was causing the haunting. I have to admit there's were a few times when I got Alice and Andie confused, just because of the same first letter, but overall the writing was well done. I've never read anything by this author before, but I'll definitely check out her other books.

First let me just say I am not a sweet girl. Not lots of fluff in my heart. . . But some how some way I'm enjoying these audiobooks. if you want some erotica or super deep closed off characters this isn't for you. This has a a sense of humor, relatable gal and likeable guy. HEA is right up my alley right now. I'll definitely get more

I'll say this for Ms Crusie - all of her books I have read so far have been wildly different.

In this novel Andie and Nick have been divorced for 10 years. She's a free spirit and he is a workaholic lawyer. On the cusp of marrying another man, Andie visits Nick to return 10 years of alimony cheques and ask him to leave her alone. Instead, Nick asks her to look after two young cousins whose nearest relatives have all died and who have seen off three nannies.

When Andie arrives the house is cross between the House of Usher and that Henry James book - The Turn of the Screw?

Soon, Andie is dealing with a morose teenage boy, a hysterical pre-teen girl, a drunken housekeeper and THREE ghosts. Oh and add in Nick's manwhore brother, Andie's hippy-dippy mother, a parapsychologist and a rapcious TV presenter.

By turns this is a romance, horror and comedy which keeps you guessing all the time.

This was my first real audiobook and after getting used to the editing and the fact that it is one person providing all the voices, I reaaly came to enjoy it.

I had dismissed Jennifer Crusie as unremarkable after reading "Welcome to Temptation." I picked this audiobook up at the library figuring it would be an easy introduction to audiobooks.

It's a very entertaining story with likable characters well-read by Angela Dawe. And it has led me to the following conclusions: I want to read more books by Jennifer Crusie, I want to listen to more audiobooks, and I want to listen to more audiobooks read by Angela Dawe.
