Marriage of convenience is a classic trope that is difficult to make work in contemporary romance but Saxon does a truly brilliant job in this book. I was hooked from page one and the story didn't disappoint.
I loved the way Christian and Émile meet and how they feel attracted to each other from the beginning. They are exactly what the other needs, and their relationship is sweet but hot at the same time. They make a deal to help one another with their family issues, so their story is sort of slow burn although there are many steamy moments. I loved how Émile was so capable, always knowing what to do in all types of situations, and I also loved Christian's clumsiness and his big heart.
This book is a beautiful love story between two guys that have gone through similar family situations. They understand each other perfectly because Christian and Émile know what it feels like to be rejected by those who should love them unconditionally. The story talks about love and friendship (oh, how I loved the scenes with Christian's friends!), it's sweet and emotional, easy to read because the writing is great and the author knows how to put feelings into words. I found myself laughing quite a few times and feeling so good inside.
I'm looking forward to reading about Christian's friends' stories. I see a lot of wonderful tropes in them and I can't wait.

This was a super cute, quick easy read. I absolutely loved Christian and the hot mess that he was, I did get second hand embarrassment many times but I adored how Èmile came to the rescue every time. I loved Èmiles relationship with his sister and the banter they had with each other, his family really annoyed me so it was nice to see he had some one on his side. The little friendship group Christian had was the sweetest and im super excited to read more about them.

With a household of characters this book was a good introduction to upcoming stories. The Husband Hoax follows Christian, a dancer who wants to be a star, he has so much confidence when he is performing but when out in the world, he is accident prone and constantly doubts himself. When he is invited to a family wedding, he wants to show them that he was doing well for himself so hires a date, but when the date cancels, in steps Émile, a billionaire and Christians knight in shining armour.
This was such a fun read making it hard to put down when I needed to go to work. Christian was a character that I instantly liked and I would have adopted him if I could. There was times I was trying to stop myself laughing out loud after Christian had yet another catastrophe. Émile never patronized Christian and was so perfect for him, ready to fight Christian's battles. They both had horrendous families which was one thing they had in common and it emphasised how important Christian's found family were.
Their HEA was enjoyable and well deserved and I am going to read Seven's story

This was unexpectedly so sweet. Émile and Christian are so cute together and I adored their relationship. Their communication skills are top notch which I greatly appreciate it.
