This is *checks the number* the third book in the series about the Fritz siblings and we are now up to Landon and Elle's book. You might know Landon from the previous book as the broody (and moody) and kinda mysterious twin who are more closed up, mostly because of the fact that he is a single dad.

I was actually quite excited for his book (single dad trope is a good one) but it didn't really hit the mark for me. To be honest, now counting two weeks after finishing it (I know that my reviews have been absent, but I don't have the time while working 50+ hours at the moment

A soulful serenade with an ever changing voice. Landon and Elle are lyrically stunning, but slightly off key. Saman speaks the language of love with a brokenness that is drowning in beauty. Doctor Heartless seduces with heartache and inspires with emotion. You can't help but fall in love.

Landon and Elle were absolutely amazing! This entire series has been hotness from the very beginning but being able to experience Landon's story, after meeting him in earlier books really hits all your heart strings. His loss and pain, was palpable. Losing his wife so long ago and raising their daughter has been a very hard experience for him. Coupled with the tragedy of experiences that Elle has gone through, created a story that was ripe with pain, recovery and all around excitement. One of the things I love about Saman's books is how well she creates the chemistry between her characters. They are also the yin and yang to one another in ways I could never imagine on my own! Plus her ability to write about situations and characters that overcome very difficult situations makes for an amazing read!

Cannot wait to read the next one!

Exciting and entertaining! Landon is the grumpy Fritz, the guy who was widowed when his daughter Stella was a toddler and since then has been living in guilt over the death of his wife. She died in a car accident. He was adamant that he would never love again, and his only love was his daughter who was his reason for living. He’s the cardiologist among the Fritz doctors. Funny that he’s a cardiologist but he insists he has no heart left.

Elle divorced her famous golfer husband for mental abuse. The last two years of her marriage he had been horrible and she was done. She moved to Chicago to start a new life, got a job as a history teacher at Wilchester Prep. On her first day in Chicago, she had a one night stand with this gorgeous guy called Luca. She never expected to see him again. But next day, she moved into her new house and guess who is her new neighbor? And on top of that, she learns his name is really Landon and he was using his twin brother’s name. Instant hate! They decide they will hate each other and not talk.

Then Elle starts school, she’s loving it and turns out that Landon’s daughter Stella is one of her students and Stella gets very attached to Elle. Poor Landon is besieged by Elle everywhere he turns and what’s more, he’s more and more attracted each time he sees her.

This story was incredibly entertaining with all the side plots included. Stella’s story with Elle was very tender, she needed a woman’s attention and she got it in spades from Elle. There’s a low thrum of tension coming from Elle’s ex-husband who won’t stop calling and her parents who keep insisting she fix things up with the ex. Then her twin sister who is like the wicked witch of the west, also turns up calling. She’s besieged by the past when she wants to start a bright new future.

I loved the characters, the Fritz brothers already feel like family, and now Stella. I loved how Landon resisted and resisted and fell anyhow, like a sack of potatoes. When he finally stops resisting, the story turns so magical and romantic. This guy had it inside and it was festering and it was beautiful when he let go and start ripping those smiles. Lovely and tender story!

Next time when I rr this--I might give it 5 stars<3
but ohmygods the way I have devoured this book-
basically two *damaged people finding solace in each-other*--*cough* at first they've tried to get rid of their *building feelings for e/o* but you know it's a romance book so yeah!!!
but the writing and their character --it felt spo real<3
//
my heart bleeds for Elle my heart-my girl has went through so damn much and so is Landon my *heartless-heart doc* (pun intended)
//

that particular scene when Elle tried to clean up the kitchen--and the floor--after seeing the *lasagna accident* --I cried there-it felt like someone writing about me and I genuinely sobbed there-that part hit me so hard istg!!

so basically it's a good book with a good story with some precious characters that just wants love in this cruel world<3

You’re the air in my lungs and the smile on my lips. You’re my missing piece.

Landon has such a tragic backstory and is definitely the most gruff / grumpy of the five Fritz brothers (with good reason!). But when he meets Elle, so much changes and I loved watching this man fight his attraction and feelings for the woman who lights up his life and the life of his teenage daughter. Elle is a high school history teacher and I enjoyed reading her scenes at work - they were realistic without making the job seem awful. I also liked the relationship that developed between Landon's daughter Stella and Elle - it was beautiful to watch. This all really shows how much I loved this book - because the romance was top notch but there was just so much to enjoy outside of that which was fabulous as well.
