Morally black mmc and his obsession. Loved how the strong dynamic was both instantaneous and developed over the book. The mmc learns about himself through his obsession and the fmc certainly comes into her own too. The way the fmc is healing due to csa and feels certain ways is somewhat realistic and I both loved and hated that.

This was a very mediocre read for me. I wasn’t a fan of the whole serial killer thing, I mean I’m all for a morally-grey MCM but this was a bit much. The spice was meh, not anything to write home about.
Those opinions may just be because of my personal preferences, however I also felt like the plot wasn’t executed very well. I don’t really get how this man just came in and took over someone’s life and got away with it, so this man just really never felt his house enough for anyone to notice a completely different person took his place, even though he basically owns and runs the whole town? Idk man. I felt like parts of the plot were kind of confusing and poorly written.
Nonetheless I wasn’t bored of the book and wanted to keep reading to see what happened, it was just a bit of a frustrating read for me personally.

It’s dark, twisted, and kept me on my toes. When I’m reading dark romance I’m used to the male MC being morally grey at most, but Cash is just in a whole league of his own. The dynamic between Cash and Remedy was filled with tension and angst. The lines between hate, love, obsession and lust were all blurred. I immensely enjoyed reading this and I look forward to reading more from this author. PLEASE READ YOUR CWs/TWs.

Cash is an irredeemable monster but I kinda love it! After reading Hitch . . . I was expecting it to be dark but I wasn't expecting Cash to be the way he was. Somehow I still found myself rooting for him and I was not disappointed. Cash may be a monster but sometimes we all need a monster in our lives. Highly recommend but because of its dark nature I advise anyone who is triggered to read the warnings before diving in.
