I really liked this story!
Oliver has always been my favorite brother & seeing him get his HEA is exciting. He's our playful, fun-loving, spunky bro that is always there for everyone.
Gavin is Oliver's co-captain, next-door neighbor, and literal pain in the ass. Oliver doesn't understand why Gavin doesn't like him & is always mean/standoffish
So Olly tries to kill him with kindness, and it doesn't work.
I liked that Olly switched to pranking Gavin. The sour cream one was epic.
I liked Gavin, too. He has crushed on Oliver for a long time before he even moved to the area. It was just like a celebrity crush, if you will, cause he only knew of him through their mutual sport originally. So when he ends up on the same team, co-captain, neighbors, and completely full of self-doubt due to injuries, he is just moody, broody, and angry. He takes it out on Oliver, the object of his true affection.
The way these two banter & joke is great. It's the funniest book thus far. But also, the way that they end up supporting one another through some tough shit is heartwarming. I loved seeing Gav get jealous and possessive over Oliver. I loved seeing Oliver take care of Gavin.

Everything for You felt like Ted Lasso fanfiction and I am not complaining. Ever since finishing the show, I have needed a book like it to take the edge off the show being over. Somehow I stumbled across one organically.
When looking at The Bergman Brothers series and how readers typically respond to the books, this one seems to be a favorite. I'm not sure why, but I didn't really connect to the book. I got a bit bored and didn't love it as much as the others in the series. I was really looking forward to Oliver and Viggo's books so it was a disappointment to me that I didn't end up liking Oliver's book.
There were so many factors that typically mark a book as a good one for me: there was hate to love, grumpy/sunshine, a golden retriever/black cat, LGBT representation, only one bed, forced proximity, anxiety representation, and pranks and hijinks. I can't really pinpoint what about this book made me not like it as much, I think it just didn't have as much forward momentum as the others in the series did.

Eh… it’s a hallmark movie romance plus Ted Lasso and make it gay. At times the tropes felt a bit artificial and forced, some of the soccer didn’t feel realistic. The gay scenes felt a bit like a str8 romance but just swapping in two men instead of truly gay perspective. But overall, I didn’t hate it. It was sweet and optimistic, and a quick read.

I just can't get into it. This is meant to be enemies to lovers and yet there is a big time skip, missing when the main characters actually met.
Also I feel like it's weird for these soccer players to be so tall and described as "big boned".
I really liked the first Bergman Brothers book but I might have to give up the series, at least for a while. I'm finding the writing a bit heavy handed, especially the waxing poetic and environmental and social opinions that feel a bit shoe-horned in.
