I just love stories that personify death and a happy-go-lucky goth girl fits perfectly.

I'm considering using this as part of my Graphic Novel Discussion on Anthropomorphic Death, and I can't quite decide if people who haven't read Sandman first would get it.

As always, Death delights me. I love her top hat and her cheerful attitude. Completely wonderful.

There is more to Death of the endless, than meets the eye. Sandman still has a lot more to offer than this spin-off but it's nice to see more of Death. Her personality and how she deals with humans whenever she's on the earth plane. Not as morbid as the original story, made me smile a lot, because Death is just adorable and easily likable, also one of my all-time favorite characters, quick, fun read and has easily made my favorites list.

If you are a fan of the "Sandman" series, you should DEFINITELY pick up this book.

If you are not a fan of the "Sandman" series, then you can enjoy this book because the story is great and it doesn't REALLY revolve around the "Sandman" storyline, but you'll miss a lot of detail and a few things might confuse you.

For fans, the story is full of, as per usual "Sandman" style, character cameos and references to events and a somewhat similar storyline. We get to learn more about Death as a person. We meet a new character - Sexton, who's actually quite interesting. The messages in the story are great and the adventure is very enjoyable. The art is also very pretty.

I liked the story and it featured really good art. All in all, this is a great, short comic.

I tried to read Sandman back in high school and couldn’t get into it very much. A classmate told me that this would be a better entry point for Gaiman’s world of magic and monsters, and he couldn’t have been more right. This book was magical, and had some surprisingly deep messaging as well. I enjoyed the art and the story it told. I’m looking forward to reading Sandman sometime in the near future.

Интересная интерпретация Смерти, необычно видеть ее в таком образе, в каком нам ее показывает Гейман.
