A good story but very predictable

I liked a lot of the characters, but (as someone who was raised a Quaker) found the description of Quaker service to be painfully under-researched. Loved how all the characters had flaws, but still grew and especially the depiction of strong women who don’t need men

I found it light but also pretty boring. I skipped ahead to the end to be done with it.

Cute enough, reminded me of a scandalous Hallmark movie.

Parenting is hard. We all screw it up. So did our parents. But the kids are (mostly) okay. Our 60+ female protagonist has depth, complexity, a brain, sex, regrets that don't overwhelm. Teenage subplot protagonist has wisdom, questions, empathy. Additional well-rounded characters whose poor decisions affect but don't derail their lives. Recommend, especially if you're worried about how you've screwed up your kids, or annoyed about your parents' mistakes with you.

I enjoyed reading “All Adults Here,” laughed at the awkward family interactions, teared up at a heartfelt moment, and even underlined a lot of quotes. I thought Emma Straub did a pretty good job building the characters of the three siblings and how they interact with one another too. But I believe there was just so much going on throughout the book it could have been more focused if about half of the themes were pulled out, leaving it open for better character growth and ending. Or maybe the point was to show how crazy life is and how there isn’t a nice clean wrap up in life

i finally finished the think after two months of a reading block, but it was so good! i love this authors writing (my second book ive read of hers) because it is just real. everyone that is a gasp moment is like real life. its slow at the beginning, but other than that i enjoyed it.
