This book started slow, but quickly had me hooked. The writing and the alternating timelines had me suckered. The storyline is the first that didn’t seem too trope-y, overplayed, or boring. There were twists and pivots beautifully woven into the story, and honest to goodness, the writing and layering and craftiness are just solid. The tension is what I love in a book and OH MY there’s just so much, in all the best possible ways. Absolutely must read.

This was by far one of my most favorite ARCs. I was feeling all the feelings living in two timelines with Ameile. Also, we got a lift your hips for me quote.

Book is tad long but i still fully enjoyed reading it.

It's been one year since Amelie's life crashed and burned - she's jobless, single, and fighting with her best friend. Really the only positive about the last year was Ian, the charming, opinionated, wedding averse, man who stumbled into her life and made her question everything she thought she knew. Yet even Ian is gone now, and refusing to answer her calls, so when Amelie is offered a spot at a cooking conference near his hometown, she knows this is an opportunity she can't pass up. But when Ian is revealed to be the son of her father's rival, and even worse, no longer interested in anything more than friendship, Amelie's plans for a happy reunion go up in smoke.

I need to read everything Letizia Lorini has ever written. Immediately. The chemistry between Amelie and Ian is *chef's kiss* (no pun intended), their friendship was heartwarming, and I couldn't help but smile through all of their banter, jokes, and terrible pick up lines. I thought the time jumps between chapters kept things exciting, hinting at secrets and events that would be later revealed,  and the overall pace of the story was perfect. This is one of those romances that will live in my head for a while, and I'm absolutely going to get my hands on the other books in this series as soon as I possibly can.

Thank you to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“I knew I was playing with fire, Amelie. And besides, I’d let you burn me anytime.”

Words cannot express how much I love this book. The Wedding Menu is such a cohesive experience. Not even just the story but how the book is executed and fun additives that you’ll have to read to see!
Ian is the most golden retriever, funny, witty and all around just dreamboat of a man for me so I was SOLD on him so fast

Wow. WOW.

This book was a ROLLER COSTER. Honestly it wasn’t for the faint of hearts as a matter of fact, because the cheerful cartoon cover certainly didn’t prepare you for what was to come. It was emotionally challenging and taxing.

BUT. It was so worth it.

Warning: this book will make you want to DNF at a lot of points, because it will get extremely frustrating and taxing on your emotions (and your patience too). But if you stick through it all, it’ll be SO rewarding.

And the best part?

The romance between Amelie and Ian was SO GREAT. WE ACTUALLY GOT TO WITNESS THEM GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND FALL IN LOVE FOR REAL. THEY ACTUALLY GOT TO KNOW EACH OTHER. AND THAT MADE ME GET TO KNOW THEM BOTH AS INDIVIDUALS TOO, AND SO I ENDED UP CARING ABOUT THEM AS CHARACTERS AND ROOTING FOR THEM TO BE TOGETHER. THIS. THIS IS WHAT A ROMANCE BOOK IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE. LIKE, THEY ACTUALLY TOLD EACH OTHER THEIR LIKES AND DISLIKES ABOUT PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN??? WOW, FULLY-FLESHED OUT CHARACTERS!!!! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!! AND IM NOT EVEN BEING SARCASTIC HERE, BECAUSE ROMANCE BOOKS THESE DAYS RELY ON SEXUAL TENSION AND ‘CHEMISTRY’ WITH ZERO GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER TO SELL READERS ON LOVE!!!!

THIS BOOK WAS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF “TO LOVE SOMEONE IS TO KNOW SOMEONE”!!!!! PEAK ROMANCE!!!!

WITTY AND FUNNY DIALOGUE. SWOONY. GREAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.

Seriously. This book was even better than the first one in the series—like, MUCH better. I was so surprised.

The reason why I’m not giving this book five stars is…
I just didnt like how Martha got redeemed in the end. Gave me an ick.

Thank you so much to Letizia for the e-arc! All opinions are my own.

this was so enjoyable. like, i’m trying to find the words to explain how much i enjoyed this one.

it’s told in “then” and “now” perspectives, and i loved trying to figure out the reason why the MC and the love interest didn’t talk anymore. and then it gets BETTER, because you find out they’re RIVALS. RIVALS!!!!

not only are they rivals, but they were once friends, and i was sooooo into that. like. i LOVED IT??

Ian is also just this little precious cinnamon roll of a man and i loved him so much like i wanna give him a big hug!! and Amelie needs a hug too — poor girl went through so much
