My only complaint is that I wish there had been more character development. The book highlights the progress of their relationship and the two do grow in the relationship, but I didn't ever feel as though we saw Kate and Mikhail grow as individuals. I think their relationship stabilizes both of them, but as it is presented their relationship is incredibly codependent. They are both better people inside the relationship, but not outside of it.

in retrospective i think it needed a bit more dominance, to try a variety of things, in that sense i think it went for the easiest maybe more tame stuff. but i honestly liked it more than i thought i would, enough to stay up a whole night reading it until 6 am when i couldn't feel my eyes anymore.
