I liked this, but not as much as Drama or Smile. The back-and-forth in time is a little disjointed at times, and I felt like this didn't really have a purpose or a conclusion; it's just kind of a lot of not-very-happy family stuff.
In another book by the talented Raina, we get to explore the relationship she has with her sister. I enjoyed this because it sometimes reminded me of my own! I could relate on many accounts, but especially on how sisters will do what they want not what you want and the fact that everything changes with a new sibling comes around. I enjoyed the illustrations and the book.
After the kiddo raved about this I had to pick it up (ok, so I felt bad for not reviewing it before to hand it over to her, but in my defense, I know other kids who are not totally screwed up who read it).
I liked it. It wasn't too mature, dealt with pretty familiar issues, such as siblings, parents who fight, and long-distance family travel (shudder). It was amusing without being too silly, scary like real life can be, and didn't end all squishy and perfect. Made me want to read more, and yet satisfied my story craving. Well done.

Raina always wanted a sister, but when she finally gets one, she has trouble finding common ground with her. As they venture out on a trip together with their mother and young brother, several incidents cause the two sisters aggravation
Sisters is a cute graphic novel that illustrates all of the frustrations caused by a sibling and also the realities in life that force them to look at each other in a new light. The characters in this book are well developed and the graphics are very appealing. The plot is very timely and comes across as realistic. Overall, Sisters is an engaging graphic novel, covering relevant topics.

There wasn’t much of a plot to this book, though it was still enjoyable. The artwork is so fun to look at and the many stories of these two sisters are pretty easy to relate to.
I love family. I am blessed to be extremely close with my family and with my brother. My mom is best friends with her two older sisters, teaching us about the meaning of family. I love how this story is based on a true story in Raina’s life.
Raina goes on a road trip with her family, getting fed up with her sister and not understanding why her dad isn’t driving with her, her sister, her mom and her brother.
If you are a graphic novel fan, you REALLY need to read Raina’s books! Sisters was so great. The art is amazing, I connected to young Raina and her relationship with her sister. I have one younger brother and we fought all the time as kids but eventually I realized that he was a built in friend. And to this day we are good friends.
Like some of the other graphic novels I have read lately, this one too does a great job of starting to talk about the more difficult topic of separation and the possibility of divorce. I really enjoyed this book.

cute book !! im 16 and i love these short graphics !! very easy and fun to read, easy to follow plots and v nice if ur bored and don’t know what to read :)
i'm pretty sure the author is around the same age as I am so i tend to relate to a lot of what she writes. it's so funny because i went on a huge cross country road trip with my family when i was a kid too.
Such a spot-on, slightly melancholy and tangential view of a teen and tween sister relationship. I love that Telgemeier isn’t afraid to leave feelings and plot lines a bit open. She gives emotions room and I love that her stories are reaching kids.
I love everything Raina Telgemeier does! LOVE IT!
I laughed out loud so many times. Telgemeier does such a great job of capturing adolescence, siblings, family life, and just life in general. I love her characters because they are true to themselves, flaws and all.
While I'm not going to read any of her illustrated Babysitter's Club, I will read all of her original works!! She is great!
