I'm happy this book has helped people. Kudos to it for that.
With that said, I found it to be mostly poorly written fear-mongering, even though Annie Grace claimed she didn't want to do that. She also promised to give solid steps on how to stop drinking and find other avenues of happiness, and then didn't do that. Instead, most of the book felt like she was praising herself and shaming others who drink. I don't deny that alcohol can be dangerous, but I don't think that everyone who chooses to drink has an automatic problem.
Again, I'm glad it's helped people, but if you're someone like me who just picked this up out of curiosity rather than as a guide, I don't think it will do much for you.

A great reference and framework for thinking about alcohol and addiction in a new way. I could totally relate to all of the societal brainwashing the book mention with regard to using alcohol as a crutch. This book is really informative. It can get a bit repetitive but I believe that is because the author is trying to undo years of conditioning. I much prefer this book to other faith or AA-based forms of recovery. If you're an evidence/science-based logical thinker, you may as well.

A fascinating alternative take on what we’ve been led to believe all these years…
Only gave it four stars because she repeats herself a lot
