Took me awhile to get into it, but once I was in, I couldn't stop. It had multiple moments that made me gasp - loved the building tension and conspiracy. There were certain jumps in plot or action sequences that seemed wildly unrealistic or resolved too easily, but it's a book that requires suspension of disbelief anyway, so overall I didn't mind too much. Made me want to finish the series for sure!

I am genuinely curious to see what happens next. I had a hard time keeping the characters straight but I think they were well built, the right amount of backstory. I definitely had a few moments where I gasped. But I will admit I had quite a few moments where I was confused by the technical/scientific aspects of the book. Not that I think it took away from the story but was harder to get through. I want to see how this is developed into a movie or show.

Good setup for the trilogy, had me guessing for the whole book, I really liked the in-depth physics discussions but it could get to be a bit much at times
