Den havde virkelig fået 3,5 indtil de sidste 3 minutter skete. Fuck jeg hader når en karakter bare tror på rygter, i stedet for at høre den anden forklare sandheden.

ooooooh so good!

Yep, I’m officially a Piper Lawson fan forever. Olivia and Sawyer are so hot, I’m combusting. They might be my favourite couple yet!

Very little story

You learn literally nothing about Sawyer as a character and don't get a chance to bond with him at all. The relationship feels quick and superficial and the lack of story makes it feel like the book ended halfway.

Crave
Off-Limits, Book 1
By: Piper Lawson
Narrated by: Connor Crais, Vanessa Edwin

Piper Lawson knows how to pull me into a story and keep me there! This forbidden romance has started off with a bang, and I cannot wait to see where she takes it all! Olivia as caught her perfect boyfriend cheating on her. Seeing it once again while out with her friends, she takes to the stage and gives a pole dance that captures everyone's attention. But only one person has caught hers. The man who can see her. When she meets Sawyer, and shares a kiss, she has no idea he would turn out to be her professor. Now things get complicated! With a meddling mom, a persistent ex and a taboo love, she has some decisions to make. Sawyer has a past he is trying to outrun. Starting a new business, dealing with the death of his father and now doing his best to just enjoy and not fall for Liv, he has his work cut out for him. Where does it all lead? Surprises, a few twists and turns and now I can't wait for the next book!

Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin are our story tellers and they as always as fabulous. Crais has a few chapters that we get from Sawyer's point of view, and he is a bit arrogant, but Crais is able to let that feeling of little boy in, creating depth and realism. Edwin is perfectly cast as Liv. She is finding her own, and Edwin gives Liv that bit of confidence to let her know she is worthy. Her pain is real though, and Edwin tugs the heart and gives the feels. These two are perfect for this age gap series. Looking forward to more.

**ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER** (and I’m not happy about it)

Student/professor
Age gap

I’m conflicted on how to rate this book for a few reasons. I don’t typically even read these tropes but the book summary is so good, I was dying to. I’m absolutely furious it ends on a cliffhanger- I feel like it should have a big red warning banner on the cover. I never would have started this had I known- my brain will never stop ruminating over it but now I won’t pick up the second book out of frustration.

The cover of this book is perfect. Zero notes.

I did the audiobook for this and Connor Crais might officially be one of my favorite narrators. He is stellar and his voice is the kind you want whispering in your ear

Parts of this were INCREDIBLE but other parts were like awful.

I will say based on the summary I thought this would just be a hot and fun professor x student trope book that was more sex than plot but it’s actually more plot than sex so a warning I guess?

There’s some beautiful quotes on love, human nature, getting out of your comfort zone, grieving, eating disorders, being a woman in STEM, and more that really struck a chord with me and sometimes really made me sit back and think.

However, sometimes it just was super cringy and I didn’t love Sawyer. He acted really immature sometimes and I didn’t like how he overacted anytime Olivia wanted to talk about a subject he didn’t want to talk about-he would then turn it on her and blow up. I don’t know, he had his moments where I liked him and then others where I didn’t.

I definitely will be continuing with the series one day though there’s still so many unanswered questions and the cliffhanger was really good. So, I want to know what happens next!

The audiobook is really well done and only 5 hours on 1X (apparently every book in this series is roughly that amount of hours) so it’s pretty quick!
