I'm abandoning this one. I had heard there was a grovel by the hero, but I really didn't care enough about him to see him get to redeem himself. From the start, he always questioned the heroine and never trusted anything she said. And, the heroine pretty much let him get away with it.

I kind of already knew the plot going in and I wasn't invested enough in these two and their story to get involved with the drama that was about to ensue.

Luc needed to get over himself for the majority of this book. He kept assuming Alyssa was a liar and sleeping with everyone. Even after he'd been proven wrong a few times.

Annoying as that was, I still enjoyed the rest of the story. Alyssa was strong despite her hard past, they had great chemistry and the mystery plot was good.

Delicious is book 3 in the Wicked Lovers series.

This is my second time reading this and I feel just as blown away and amazed as I did the first time. This series is HOT, intense and all consuming.

Like Shayla Black does, she goes and throws me through one hell of a roller coaster ride. Given, this is the second time reading this book, I still found myself so addicted and intrigued, flipping pages frantically to get deeper and deeper into the storyline. This series eats you alive!

In Delicious, we follow the lives of Luc and Alyssa.

Alyssa is a former exotic dancer, now an owner of a strip club, she’s strong, independent, sassy, confident and easy going woman.

Luc,.. well he’s certainly not a Prince Charming type. He’s cocky, he knows he’s better than others, he treats people differently for that reason, but I’m kind in love! He’s not the nicest of guys, certainly no hearts and flowers, and got a-hole vibes and the way he treated Alyssa wasn’t always the best, but I’m a sucker for guys just like him! Gah! and I absolutely love reading about them! Although, throughout the book, I found him redeeming himself a fair bit which I loved too.

These two together were a wicked hot mess but oh so good, I couldn’t get enough! They were different, they were intense, hot, bat sh*t crazy and ADDICTING! I was hooked from the beginning and now I want nothing more than to start from the beginning for the third time and re-read it again.

As always, Shayla Black does not disappoint. She’s delivered a crazy, action packed, suspenseful, thrilling and hot as hell book, and she did it flawlessly. I love her style of writing its part of the reason I find myself so intrigued and obsessed with her books and this series is everything I love about erotica romances. She’s actually a genius.

5 stars.

In the relationship of Luc and Alyssa, there are many miscommunications and mistrust between both of them.

Focused on finding the perfect "mother" for his child, Luc doesn't think Alyssa fits the bill. Regardless that he's in love with her. ALyssa just doesn't want to admit to Luc how she truly feels about him because she is scared of how he will react.

I've never found myself wanting to scream at a book so badly before! I love the relationship between Luc and Alyssa, but sometimes I just wanted to yell at them that they're being foolish! HAHA.

Seriously though, really good story. Kept me on edge and smacking my head a couple times!

It's more like 2.5 stars.
This is more of a romantic suspense novel than Shayla's previous Wicked Lovers books.

SOOO..I found this book on my iPad and was a little surprised that I hadn't read it yet since I really love this whole series (for the most part) I figured what the heck, I'd give it go...ya, now I know why I skipped this one over!

Luc was an asshole, a horrible judgmental nonredeemable (in my eyes) asshole. What happened to the Luc of the previous book??? This guy in noway resembled that Luc. This one said horrible things to Alyssa, this one thought she was a whore through like 90% of the book. This one
Spoiler married her thinking she was pregnant with someone else's baby!!
This one never bothered to even take the time to discuss anything with Alyssa, and always assumed the worst. OMG I hated Luc!

Even his frigging grovel behavior at the end couldn't redeem his character to me. Alyssa should have dumped his sorry excuse of an ass and got with Tyler! *lol* I also had a problem with Alyssa, I mean when we love someone we give them a lot of leeway with their behavior, we forgive a lot, but how or WHY for that matter would you want to forgive (or be in a relationship) with a guy who thinks you are a whore that sleeps with everyone for favors, who thinks you are
Spoiler pregnant with someone else's kid, but doesn't bother to let YOU know he thinks that
She should have kicked him to the curb from word GO!

OK, so all that being said, I STILL love this author's writing, she sucks me into her books and gives me a ton of feels (I'll admit it, I cried!) Even though I loathed Luc, I still found myself turning the pages to see where this would lead!

Enjoy the following gifs in honor of the asshole called Luc...

Despite the fact that I really did not like the main male lead, I did enjoyed this story.

Although after reading this story, I can see why people have a problem with this series at times. It makes it seem like, and honestly kind of was, an extremely unhealthy relationship that was being portrayed in this story.

If you take the book as is, and don't look for at the flaws, it serves its purpose. It isn't meant to be some great work of literature, it's supposed to provide good smut to read and enjoy.
