My Thoughts
This final book in the trilogy was wonderful. I was more than happy to see Will finally do something about his love for Ellie. I was beyond tired of hearing her internal dialogue about his refusal of her love, blah blah! This book had even more action and adventure than the second, and I found myself completely addicted to this story. I don't want to give anything away, but we got to know Cadan a lot better in this book. He was one of the prominent characters and I couldn't have been happier. I hate that he is in love with his brother's girlfriend; she doesn't deserve him in my opinion! The demons are more bold, and unafraid to show themselves to humans, resulting in a lot of people close to Ellie finding out exactly what she is. I found myself crying more than once near the ending, and I was impressed with Ellie's selflessness when the time came to fulfill her destiny. The love between Ellie and Will is phenomenal; it is not the typical teenage girl meets boy and instantly falls in love garbage. It truly was a wonderful love, centuries old, with ups and downs that are completely realistic in a supernatural kind of way! The ending was heartbreaking, but the only way that Miss Moulton could have ended it. Sigh. This was all in all, a well written, original and creative series that I am thankful to have read!

The ending of this trilogy, this book... Takes my breath away...
So freaking beautiful! Haven't got any more tears left at this moment or energy to give a more extended review...

Only thing I can say right now is;
This book is definitely worth 5 stars!!

It was a great end to a good trilogy. It seemed like the books got better and better. It seemed like the writing style changed in the third book. Seemed more fun and new adult kinda of. Really hoping this isn't trilogy but it did end like a trilogy. I'll will be shipping Katus (Kate and Marcus) and Eldan (Ellie and Cadan) even though Ellie and Will are perfect together...

There is not much you can say in a final book of a series without giving away spoilers. SHADOWS IN THE SILENCE was just as good as the previous books in the Angelfire series. We know who Ellie is, we know who the players are, and we know what needs to happen to bring the fight to an end. Book 3 did a great job of tying everything together a final time. We get the final character development information for all of our favorite characters and get to meet some new ones we weren't expecting. Certain characters learn to get along and let the past lie. The final show down was well written, I really liked how everyone came together to fight for what they believed in. I felt like I was in the thick of the action and everything played out believably.

You should laugh, cry and scream plenty of times while reading. If you enjoyed the first two books you will be happy with how everything turns out. After all was said and done I was satisfied with the ending of the series.

This was almost a 5 star rating. The protagonist had the answers to many of the conflicts handed to her.
