I really like Sean, and Zenny is amazing, I just don't like them together as much as I liked Poppy and Tyler. Don't get me wrong, the smut was on point and the book was pretty good in general. It's just apparently I feel less weird about a priest having sex than I do about a couple with a 16-ish year age gap.
They do make a beautiful couple, and there's no abuse or grooming here, but I just couldn't wrap my head around such a big difference in age, I don't like it, I never have, and I never will.
Plus a 22 year-old being pregnant just gives me the cringiest cringe.
As a young woman in my twenties trying to figure this shit out, I just don't feel like adulthood really starts until after thirty๐Ÿ˜‚.
Other than that, pretty cool, just couldn't get over it.

This book...I don't have words for how much I loved this book and how much it resonates with me. I don't think you have to understand the Catholic faith to enjoy this book, but I think my background with the faith (which is a complicated one) made it all the more for me. I absolutely loved Priest when I read it (and I still think about it), but this one feels completely different to me.

I wish I had more to say than "I loved this book", but I really just don't know how to put it into words. The relationship Zenny and Sean have is so great and I love that even though they are in completely different places in their faith, neither of them let's it directly impact their relationship. I loved the conversations around God and religion, and I love that you get two completely different perspectives on it. And of course, you can't read a Sierra Simone book and not mention the spice, because boy is their some spice!

This is a book I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who enjoys the following. And I would encourage anyone even quasi interested in this book to give it a chance.

I was NOT prepared for how emotional this book was going to make me. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Remember Father Bell from ๐˜—๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต? Well, he has several brothers, and this book takes place from his eldest brother Seanโ€™s perspective. Sean hasnโ€™t seen his best friendโ€™s sister (Zenny) in years, and now that heโ€™s seen her, he canโ€™t get her out of his mind. The only problem? Sheโ€™s on her way to becoming a nunโ€ฆ

This book was ๐Ÿ”ฅ; maybe more than ๐˜—๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ต? Zenny is completely inexperienced, and very interested in learning everything she can before taking her vows.

Sean is such a caring, cinnamon rolly, hot-ass man, more than willing to teach Zenny everything he knows.

Other than the ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ, this book is so emotional. Sean is the eldest child of his family, as am I, and I so related to his intense feelings of responsibility toward his family. The entire Bell family goes through so much in this book. I was bawling my eyes out toward the endโ€ฆ

These books are also very interesting in how they blend k!nky s3x with faith. This family has gone through the ringer when it comes to the church, and although Iโ€™m an agnostic, Iโ€™ve still enjoyed exploring this familyโ€™s up and down journey with their faith.

What this book is giving:
โœ… Best Friendโ€™s Sister
โœ… Age Gap (Heโ€™s 36, Sheโ€™s 21)
โœ… Sheโ€™s becoming a nun
โœ… โ€œLittle Nunโ€
โœ… โ€œZenny-bugโ€
โœ… Dirty Talk
โœ… Black female love interest
โœ… Romance reading MMC (who buddy reads with his mom! โค๏ธ)
โœ… MMC POV (almost completely)

Look out for:
โš ๏ธ Parental terminal illness
