Such a wonderful book. I loved Abbie and Will's story, and little Seb is so adorable.

Will and Abbie have been friends since high school, but they never crossed this line. Everything changes when Abbie's apartment and yoga studio flood, and the only place she can stay is at Will's.

On the night that Abbie moves, he is taken by surprise when one of the girls he had a hookup with, brings him the child and all the necessary documents for him to have custody. Abbie knows that Will would never ask for help, so because "her apartment isn't ready yet" she stays and helps Will while he works.

During all the time that Abbie stays with Will, the two of them cross the line of friendship, and finally let out to some deep feelings, which is very sweet and hot.

I really liked the development of the characters. Will was a playboy until his son came into his life and wants to offer him the love of a father that he didn't receive when he was a child, and Abbie that she could declare that relationships and children are a big no, ends up falling in love with little Seb and his father.

Thank you Samantha Leigh for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG, this friends-to-lovers story blew me away! I'm not usually into this trope, but the "single dad surprise" in Valentine Bay totally reeled me in. Seeing a playboy become a dad and all the messy, real stuff that goes with it? So good!

I loved Abby and Will from the previous books, so I was already rooting for them. The story starts with a hilarious disaster (flooded apartment!), forcing Abby to crash with Will right as he's about to become a dad! Talk about awkward timing, right?

This book wasn't just fluffy romance, it also dealt with the challenges of being a parent, even for two people who swore off relationships. Seeing them navigate raising a kid while dealing with their own baggage was heartwarming, even when things got messy. Plus, little Seb is the cutest scene-stealer ever!๐Ÿฅน

Overall, this book was amazing! It had depth, humor, and all the feels. Highly recommend.

P.S. Big thanks to The Author Agency and the author for sending me an ARC!

โ€œThe universe makes plans whether we like it or not, and our story was etched in the sky long before we knew our own truths.โ€

Finally, we got Will and Abbeyโ€™s story! These four books in the series follows a group of friends in this small town and finding their person. To understand Abbey and Willโ€™s story, I would start from the first book as you feel the tension and chemistry come through. I love how we got the reformed playboy look from Will but it still had elements of fun with Abbey and the bingo challenge it just made you smile. I honestly love this friend group so much and each of their stories. I do recommend this whole series if you want to give it a go!

The books started out kind of slow for me but built up to a good ending with a family unit that you will end up loving and rooting for.

Abigail had a terrible rumor spread about her in high school which lead to get being pro active sex live in women, but also with her mother worried about her never settling down. So she made a pact with her playboy best friend that they would fake it for their families and end up growing old together. She would never have to worry about being anything serious or having to deal with her lack of maternal instincts. It was prefect. Until a pipe burst in her house and she ended up crashing at said best friend (Will) house on the same day that he found out he had a son who his mother dropped off with him and left. He also was working on expanding his small bar into a brewery and signed up for a huge promotional event that would require a lot of work. Does Will have too much on his plate right now? Can he be the best father to this baby since his father left him as a child leaving him traumatized? Will they both be able to keep their relationship strictly friends when they both can feel a sexual tension and have hidden feelings? What will happen when they decide to stick it out for the baby and work around their crazy lives? Or and did I forget to mention that of course her trauma from the past and his playboy ways might come knocking at just the โ€œrightโ€ time.

ARC Review - An advance copy was provided to me by the author via Nerdy Babes ARC Readers. All opinions are my own.

Only For You by Samantha Leigh
A Small Town Single Dad Romance
Book 4 in the Valentine Bay series

friends to lovers
reformed playboy / badgirl
one bed
(surprise) single dad
found family
small town
dual pov/first person

THIS...this is the one I was looking forward to most in the series. Abbie and Will are EVERYTHING and I knew I was going to love their story, I was not disappointed.

If you've read the first three in the Valentine Bay series you know that Will and Abbie are besties and also have a sexual tension that's obvious to EVERY SINGLE person in their lives. Neither is into commitment though, one believing she doesn't want it and the other believing he isn't worthy of it. Both of them wrong.

When a weekend hookup drops off his baby and minutes later Abbie knocks on his door needing a place to stay Will is in for a ride. Abbie who will do anything for her friends decides Will needs her help and she will stay as long as it takes to settle Sebastian into Will's life. There are some bumps in the journey but there is a HEA.

I honestly could not be more thankful to find this series and being given the opportunity to ARC read this final installment. Now I need the cousins story about saving their family business and also Adam and Liberty's story. I'll be (mostly) patiently waiting.

I absolutely love valentines bay. Will and Abbie have such good sexual tension and I love how their story develops. There is so much going on and at points it did feel like a couple storylines were forgotten but overall it was really good.

I wish we had more of a wrap about Sebโ€™s mom and who had posted the daddy will stuff

Okay this was such a cute and fun book with tropes that I always crave for ๐Ÿคญ meddling families and friends.

The connection and vibe between Will & Abbie was so amazing to see. The vulnerability of both the characters was raw, I love seeing imperfect characters and how they grow personally as well as in their relationship.

Only for You by @samanthaleigh.author had a hold over me in a way I would have never expected and I legitimately was upset every time I had to put it down for work or other real-life responsibilities. This is the fourth book in a series, but it's the first Samantha Leigh book I have read and it all made perfect sense, so you absolutely can read it as a standalone like I did. Only for You tells the story of single dad Will navigating new parenthood while also simultaneously falling head over heels in love with his childhood best friend Abbie.
Will and Abbie are the best sort of couple that I love to read about in books! They are supportive, uplifting, and downright respectful of one another and their respective past traumas, always understanding one another and the needs of the other person. Their dynamic together already was off-the-charts prior to the addition of six-month-old Sebastian, but when Will tries to navigate single parenthood when he didn't even know he was a parent prior to an hour before Abbie unexpectedly moves in to Will's apartment, there is a steep learning curve for everyone involved. I absolutely adored the scenes where Will and Abbie are caring for Sebastian, and I loved that Sebastian was actually a fleshed out, utilized character and not just a plot device for the Daddy Will Fan Club. Although, let's be real, Abbie is the number one woman in charge of the Daddy Will Fan Club... ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ’• I am such a firm believer in writing healthy romances, especially for people who have overcome trauma in relationships as Abbie did. Will's protection of Abbie when her ex shows up is just even more of a reason why I am on the Will/Abbie train. โค๏ธ
The characters are extremely well written and even with their respective flaws, I as a reader wanted them to succeed, not only to be happy in their own personal lives, but as a couple, and as Sebastian's two most important people as well. All in all, the chemistry between the two main characters, the family dynamics of Will's and Abbie's supportive family members, and the found family of all their mutual friends led to a whole lot of love being explored in this book. This was an easy โญโญโญโญ. โœจ read!

I've been so looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint! Abbie and Will have always been my favorite characters of the Valentine Bay series. Abbie's growth was so beautiful and I loved that she just went for it. Once she made the decision she didn't faulter. She knew what she wanted and deep down knew what Will needed.  I'm not too familiar with the surprise baby trope but it was so well done with these characters that I loved it. I also really enjoyed Abbie's response to the bingo card ๐Ÿ˜†. My one and only complaint is I wish there had been a little more about the past characters since this is the last book. I highly recommend this steamy small town romance series!
