Full review on Faithfully Bookish

James is trying to turn his life around and put distance between the man he is and the man he used to be. He is ashamed of his past mistakes and has a hard time forgiving himself for the pain he caused.

Ella is known for her sunny disposition and positive outlook on life but she is not as naivé as her friends and family think. She is preparing to launch an offensive and the first step is extensive research. She even ropes James into her scheming and his surly demeanor doesn’t deter her one bit.

My favorite aspect of this book was everyone looking out for one another and coming together in an effort to stop the madness once and for all. This is a great story of redemption, justice, love, and beauty! I adore this whole series!

I requested the opportunity to read and review this title through Celebrate Lit. The opinions expressed are my own.

Lady Ella Myerston is not as naïve as people think. She can always find a reason to smile but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t noticed the dangers that have plagued her brother and friend. So she decides to take matters into her own hands and find a way to remove the dangers from their lives. And if the gruff Lord James Cayton happens to be a helpful companion, then so be it. James has already broken two hearts, so he doesn’t plan to risk a third. But he isn’t the same man he was before, and he can’t deny the love that is growing as he spends more time with Ella. And he will do anything to protect her.

What a great end to this series! The pacing of this story was good. Roseanna M. White brought in some new and intriguing characters while also giving us some of our favorites from previous books. Ella and Cayton had a sweet romance and relationship that developed over not a lot of time but just enough time. Ella’s bubbly personality was perfect for Cayton and bringing out his own flirtatious and teasing side. The conclusion to the fire eyes plot was very well done. Not too bonkers and a perfect ending to where the diamonds should end up. And also, we got some redemption for at least one villain which was amazing and lovely. It was deserved.

This is an amazing finale to this trilogy. I loved the characters of Lady Ella and Lord Cayton. Their banter back in forth made me laugh out loud countless times. That is been a common thread in this series and it's probably my favorite element of Roseanna's. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story came to a close with even a couple of twists I didn't see coming. I loved the time period and setting of this series, very Downtown Abbey as some have said. Very enjoyable read!

I received this book from the publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All opinions are my own.

This is the third and final book in the series. Over the three books you follow the underlying story of the red diamonds. In this final book you not only get your romance but you find out the truth about events involving the diamonds. I enjoyed this series a lot and look forward to reading more by this author.

While this was not my favorite Roseanna White, it was still an excellent book. Justin and Brook are major characters in it, and seeing the couples after their weddings was one of my favorite parts of the trilogy. While the suspense was high, the romances were sweet, characters well developed, and redemption nicely done, easily the best thing about this book is the chemistry in the friendships.
The best scenes were when Nottingham and Stafford - and Cayton - are together. Those two are characters for the ages! When I think back and remember this book, it won't be for Ella and Cayton, although they were alright, it will be about the fight in the library with Brook; that was awesome.

Loved this third book in the Ladies of the Manor series. Even though there was a definite conclusion to the series, I'd love to see it continue. The characters were so enjoyable, I'll miss reading about them. This author is one of my favorites. Highly recommend this series!
