This book was so charming, sweet with a dash of sass. You couldn’t help but fall for Logan. The man, who at first impression, was the typical player who only sought women and money. But when you dove beneath the surface, there was so much more. A caring man who loved those he held most dear. A man who remembered the roots from which he came and never changed who he was deep down.
And Darcy...a feisty, independent woman who loved deeply. Who cared for those around her and just wanted to be loved in return. To cherish her home and those who loved her.
Together they were not what they saw for each other. They never saw the other as what they saw in their futures, but over time their axis shifted.
It was beautiful to see them fall for each other at first glance, but watch them fight their feelings for each other. To watch them struggle with the change and the unknown that awaited them. But how they slowly broke down each other’s wall and decided to take the leap and dive into the unknown with open arms.

This was my first book by Louise Bay, and it certainly will not be my last.

He wasn't what she wanted, he was what she needed

I think the order for the series is messed up in Amazon because this story is #5 and Park Ave Prince is really #2. I already had a love for Darcy from previous stories, she believed in finding someone perfect for you, especially after Ryder found Scarlett. And Logan's personality was addictive, extremely loyal and caring to his grandmother, driven and tenacious with massive bonus points for being a dom in the bedroom. They started off fast and furious, moved to explosive behind closed doors then landing in love before either of them knew what to do with it. I enjoyed getting to catch up previous characters and watching both main characters realizing that the past shapes you but doesn't determine who you choose to be.

The only reason this is two stars instead of one is the narration. Both narrators did an excellent job trying to bring this atrocious story to life.

I thought the most problematic part was how he pretty much forced her to do bdsm without any conversation about consent. She overtly said she wasn't interested, and he insisted she would like it. Because she did enjoy it (because his magic dick gave her the first orgasm in years), she excuses the massive red flags.

What a fun romp. Logan and Darcy will make you laugh, frustrate you into yelling at your poor device, and almost immediately turn those groans of irritation into sighs. I recommend this to anyone who loves a cheeky romance with all the essential ingredients.

Darcy is nothing like Logan’s type. To his utter confusion, he finds himself bewitched by her. Too bad that Darcy has already decided that Logan isn’t the one for her. Can he change her mind?

After the Duke of Manhattan, I was looking forward to Darcy’s story. I loved the banter between Darcy and Logan. It was laugh out loud funny at times. Plus, I enjoyed it when Darcy put Logan in his place. Despite the chemistry of these characters, I felt this story dragged a bit in places. It wasn’t terrible but enough to make the story good, not great.

Overall, I didn’t enjoy the narration. Shane East’s narration was on point. I could totally envision sexy Logan Steele. I wasn’t a fan of the narration by Imogene Church. Her voices for the female characters besides Darcy sounded the same. Her delivery of Logan was inconsistent with the character.

I would recommend this book but suggest you read rather than listen to it.

The Earl of London
By Louise Bay

I absolutely adored this book! I get so excited to pick up books by this author, she just writes so beautifully. Her characters are always amazing and I know that I am going to fall in love with them straight away. I think I fell in love with Logan as soon as I started reading about him. He was everything I love in an alpha male, hot, broody and very sexy!
Darcy was just amazing! I loved her character so much (seeing’s as I liked her in previous books I knew I would love in her in her own story!) I loved how she was not afraid to stand up to Logan even with that simmering chemistry was there between them almost instantly. Both Darcy and Logan were strong, independent characters in their own right which is why I loved them together.
Louise Bay’s books really are a joy to read, I love every minute of the time that I am consumed by her words. The characters flow from different books but this can be read as a standalone.
I can’t wait for more from Louise Bay in the future!

I loved it! My heart was in my throat for a part of it, but it all resolved itself to a wonderful HEA!

Very pleased that Darcy has got her own book!

Loved the latter part of the book, not so keen on the earlier part. Logan's need to subjugate women didn't sit well with me... I am all for the alpha, however his deliberate need to control and... really, I suppose, humiliate in a sexual way... any woman who he deemed successful in business. Bit sad really, and not very alpha imo. I do find Louise Bay's impression of Britain a little odd too... all a bit Jilly Cooper-ish , and that world hasn't existed for a few decades ( I lived in London for many years and grew up in and have now returned to the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire - so am well versed in both sides of this particular coin. I know, according to her bio, she was very much into eighties mini series & 'beach' books... but... ).

Now, that sounds negative... but I really truly wouldn't have rated it 3 stars if I didn't like it... honest! But, think that the Indigo Nights and Empire State series of books are my favourite of hers... so far!
