I just love Kristen's books so much and every new book I read becomes my new favorite! When We Break was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy with just the right amount of suspense!
Beckett Blackwell! He was perfect in every single way!! He was a man obsessed but was patient and respected Skyla's boundaries. I freaking loved Skyla! And her sidekick Riley was the best dog! The chemistry and tension between Beckett and Skyla was so hot I couldn't get enough! Beckett was seriously a dream! The way he loved and took care of Skyla was so swoony! I mean he even read her spicy books with her!! I love a good girl group and the spicy book club girls Skyla has are some of the best!! Also LOVED that Kristen gave us a 3rd POV! Totally added to this story in the best way!! Absolutely loved this one!!
AUDIO: This was narrated by Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and it was outstanding!! While Connor is a favorite of mine, Stephanie is new to me but she completely won me over!! Her Irish accent was incredible and I just loved how she portrayed Skyla! Connor was perfect for Beckett! He was swoony and protective and just everything we needed from Beckett! And his Skyla voice completely blew me away at not only having to voice a female but an Irish female voice. These two were the perfect pairing for this story! LOVED IT!

Another swoony read about the Blackwell brothers! Beckett is up next and the athletic redhead with an accent has caught his eye.
He was not in the market for a girl, his wonderful dairy ranch takes all his time and energy until he can get her out of his mind.
Skyla is an accomplished dancer but is ready for a change of scenery and when her stalker returns, it’s the push she needs to get out of town. She’s swept off her feet by Beckett. He is clear with his intentions, a safe place for her to heal and just the sweetest (and super into aftercare!). Their story was so much fun, if a little predictable.

Beckett & Skyla ❤️ In love with the Bitterroot Valley Series! Beckett and Skyla are such a great couple! Skyla has an interesting past as she was a prima ballerina in NYC. A weirdo stalker forces her to move to a small town for her safety. She also has a service dog and I LOVED how Kristen Proby wrote this She meets Beckett, who is a tall, dark, and handsome cowboy (say less, right?) and he’s just top tier for her! She’s skittish at first (and rightly so with a stalker looking for her), but Beckett is patient and wins her over. Just the right amount of spice 🌶️😉. I love Beckett and his brothers! I’m excited to see where this series goes from here!
This was a super sweet read. Beckett was the perfect swoon-worthy man that we come to love from Kristen. He was the perfect match to Skyla and her "baggage." They way they fell for each other just felt so natural and authentic, even though it was insta-attraction.

This was a big job for both Stephanie and Connor, as the narrators, with all the accent work required. Having to navigate between characters with accents and others who didn't have one. I don't know how narrators do it sometimes. It truly is incredible.

📖 This is one of my fav Kristen Proby books so far! I absolutely ADORE Skyla and Beckett. I am typically not one for instalove, and I wouldn’t say this is a typical instalove setup, but they definitely had an instant connection and once they gave in it was 0-60—pedal to the metal. Here’s the thing though—it fit them, and felt authentic. Riley was absolutely a highlight of this book, the goodest boy! I love the friend/family dynamic in Bitterroot Valley, what an awesome group of people to hang out with. But even with awesome friends and family, I love that Beckett let everyone know; not caring if they had known Skyla longer, were a relative of hers, or if they had just been joking when making a comment; that he would not tolerate anyone speaking in a negative manner to his girl, ever.
And omg I cannnnnnot wait for more on Billie and Connor!! I kind of fell in love with Connor in this book… so let’s keep the Irish coming back to Montana!!
🎧 THIS AUDIO IS FIIIIRREE🔥🔥🔥! Stephanie did an incredible job as Skyla, using a gorgeous Irish accent with a full, warm timbre and expressive emotions. She also had a great male voice and awesome Russian accent as well!
Connor was wonderful as Beckett, really using the softer side of his voice when wooing the girl. Connor also excelled at the accent work, especially sounding great as Skyla’s brother Connor!
I would definitely give this one a listen!

Beckett is so dang smitten with Skyla I can't even handle it. And she is over the moon in love with him back. And Riley. Omg, Riley. Just the sweetest pup ever to be written.
The suspense was fantastic too. I really enjoyed the stalker plot and loved getting to know Skyla's family because of it. Speaking of family....

While this book wasn’t my favorite from this author, I enjoy her small town writing!
The dual narration by Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker was quite the undertaking because they both had to take on multiple Irish accents!

Skyla and Beckett were SO cute together! I thoroughly enjoyed their romance but when he yelled at her dance partner & her family for talking negatively about her body and weight in relation to being a professional dancer? I was feral! YOU TELL THEM! Beckett was the absolute perfect match for Skyla after all she's been through with her stalker. He was so cautious to make sure she felt comfortable, but never took it too far to treat her like a breakable doll. Skyla overcame so much & was the perfect inclusion in the Bitterroot Valley!
But if I'm being honest, Riley was the star of the book. He was such a good boy throughout the entire book but I was ready to throw my headphones across the room when the big conflict scene of the book took place. It definitely felt like I needed a warning for that 😭 but I promise you: he is perfectly fine by the end of the book.
P.S. I absolutely *hated* his nickname for her with a fiery passion. Please tell me what's supposed to be cute about using her nationality as a nickname because I don't get it.
