I liked this so much better than the first instalment I’ve read it in one sitting, literally didn’t move between loading it up on my kindle and finishing the whole thing. I think it’s partly because I liked the characters a bit more that this one spoke to me but the final book has been set up really well with this one so I’m excited to carry on

This is definitely not my usual style of book. I enjoyed the story between them and just wasn't into the language being used and some of what went on in Fallen. It was different seeing other things besides what most romances have and I really like the characters. I did love the ending with her mother a lot and his brother.

Eliza is definitely bold and likes to be in charge, but her mother has drilled it into to be the opposite. When she finally realized that she needed to be her and not what her mother wanted it was great!

Grayson's life is a bit shocking, but he is very likable and very nice even in business unless you did something wrong. He had his friends that he was open with, but he didn't explain everything to his wife at first.

His friends sounded very interesting and fun. If you don't mind the language and whips, feathers, and other detailed things then this is probably a good book for you.

Interesting look at S&M in historical romance. Of course the entire book begins with a huge misunderstanding that could have been avoided with a conversation.

Why did I buy this book. Why??? I read the first in the series and thought it was so bad. The writing, the pacing, the plot. But I was drawn in by the description of the second book, because it SOUNDS like it'll be good.

The clever and ice cold accountant for the sex club has banished his wife to a country home. She was outspoken and wild when they were courting but at her mother's urging, became a prim and proper wife after they were married - which he hated. She returns to London to get him back (and because her parents need money), and has to deal with jealousy over his supposed mistress and see how she fits in with his life.

Like, that sounds SO INTERESTING. There could have been so much tension and angst and jealousy. But this was a rushed story with awkward pacing, dialogue, and descriptions. It felt like a fan fiction.

I will not be tricked into buying book 3!!

Grayson co owns a sex club where he pretends to be a Dom. He married Eliza because he though she was A Domme. However her mothers boarding school training made Eliza pretend to be a docile submissive wife. That’s a big turn off to Grayson. He leaves Eliza at their country estate and lives at his club. Eventually she goes back to his club for a visit figures it all out, straps him and they are hea.
