It's an entertaining story, very funny and very very spicy. Dying with the bite and blood kink!

I have to say that I was very hooked at the beginning and I liked the ending, but I had a hard time reading the development of the plot. (I don't know how to explain it because it's not that I didn't like it.)

I really liked Whitney as the mc, her development and how the relationship with her friends is so important in the plot. Domino is so hot and a sweetheart, but I feel like we could have gotten to know him better.

Issa Rae’s Insecure combined with a nice helping of supernatural drama and cozy, comical shenanigans, this book is a sizzling heartfelt sensation.

Domino is a ten, but he’s a vampire. She’s down on her luck, but there is way more to Whitney and the world than she thinks…

I came for the vampires, and while the romance was fun, I fell in love with the sisterhood and the elements of self discovery. This book was fun, full of feels and uncensored, unapologetic, and refreshingly authentic Black woman power. I need book 3 asap!

Jessica Cage never fails to create characters that feel relatable and bursting with personality. I absolutely loved the dynamic of the friend group—the way they support, uplift, and love each other is truly top-tier. Their bond added so much heart to the story.

Domino was such a great listener and his devotion to Whitney was everything. He was completely consumed with her in the best way, and I adored that for her.

This book had me laughing nonstop—I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. Now, I’ll never be able to say ‘get out’ without expecting something wild to happen.  Another excellent read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

This book was captivating from the beginning to very end!

The characters were loveable with realistic banter. Yes, there’s a Vampire but also so much more. The action made it a true page turner and hard to put down, and no, I am not just talking about the Spice!

The author did her thing with the immersive world building while continuously navigating the reader through the building plot and multiple plot twist.

Jessica Cage is definitely an auto buy!.

I found the story to be pretty fun and it was a crazy ride. While it was funny at times, I was not fully invested in the story. I wished there was more exploration of the character relationships and it felt like a lot of the emotional aspects were glossed over to rush the plot. I would recommend this if you’re looking for a lighthearted fantasy romance!

Warning: Must. Love. Vampires. ❤️‍🔥🩸

This fast-paced paranormal romance had me LOCKED IN from the very first page. I wasn’t just a fly on the wall or a passive observer of this story - it felt like I was a part of this world. Like I was listening to my (hilarious) best friend tell me about this ‘crazy thing that just happened’.

Honestly, this book is genuinely SO funny. I’ve covered the pages in highlights of my favorite quotes. I tend to avoid ‘romcom’ style books because the humor doesn’t really land for me. If this rings true for you, then this book may just be the one you are looking for!

This book weaves together an experience far beyond what I imagined:
  • Flirty, magnetic romance
  • powerful & beautiful friendship that evolves throughout the book
  • Reveals, twists, and turns that surprised me (despite the foreshadowing 😂)

I also really loved the natural and effortless feel of body inclusivity in this book. This was intentional, absolutely, but not tokenizing or used for stereotypical plot progression or to bolster a main character, as I’ve seen in too many books. This representation felt honest, beautiful, and empowering. The author truly did an outstanding job on this.

From the very start, this novel caught me on the magical abilities amongst Jackie, Lena, and Whitney; their relationship made it much more enjoyable. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a book about vampires but it exceeded my expectations from the unique spicy scenes to the cross-over characters from I accidentally summoned a demon boyfriend. My favorite character hands down had to be maverick , I never thought that I would be a cat person but this was not your regular cat he had tricks up his sleeves for days. If you are into action paced , body positivity and unique stories this is the perfect book for you

I was absolutely obsessed with this book once I started reading it!

The book starts with the main character, Whitney Harris, heading to work expecting a promotion, but she is instead fired. Later that night, she goes to a party to celebrate a friend's success while avoiding discussing her employment status and runs into Domino. After some drinks and conversation, they hook up, and next thing you know, he turns out to be a vampire.

She quickly discovers that her world and the people in it are not as they seem and has to find a way to navigate through it.

This book was fun, funny, relatable, sexy, and full of twists are turns.

I do want to mention that this is book 2 of her Accidents Happen series and although you can read this as a standalone I would recommend reading book 1 first *I won’t spoil it and tell you why* if you like to read things in Chronological order. I know that is going to be my next read!

It definitely feels like a Rom-com Romantasy but it’s so routed in reality. The relationship and banter between Whitney, Lena, and Jackie feels like me and my girlfriends. The writer also did a great job making me feel like I knew her friends whereas some books don’t develop side characters. The representation was on point and I saw myself in the character, I’ve even said a couple of the phrases in the book lol

Domino! I’m afraid to spoil so just read the book.

This is a great story that is enhanced by spice instead of it being a spice forward book or needing to lean heavily on the spice to make it readable.

This is the first book I have read of Jessica’s and she has already become one of my favorite authors!.

Jessica Cage always finds a way to surprise me, and this book was no exception! The action had me hooked from the start, and I loved watching Whitney grow into her power while still holding onto the confidence that made her such a badass. And Domino? Fine fine fine. He was the kind of MMC who empowers rather than overshadows, which made their dynamic even better.

But the real standout in this story was T he sisterhood. Whitney and her besties embodied the definition of found family and ride-or-die friendship, and the surprises along the way only made their bond stronger. This book had everything action, magic, sisterhood, and a swoon-worthy romance. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to dive into more of Jessica Cage’s work!
