I immediately ordered this book when it was announced. I've been following Christen and Caroline since their Stuff Mom Never Told You days. Unladylike is a very good feminist primer. They way it ia set up is creative and fun. Tyler's illustrations are wonderful.

I listened to the audiobook, and it was just like the podcast. Loved it.

I love this podcast and this book didn’t disappoint. I wish I had this when I was first starting to get acquainted with intersectional feminism, but even still it’s a great resource to have! Loved the illustrations too.

I appreciate this for what it was and I did learn some things in terms of historical figures that I hadn't heard of. The rest of it was concepts that I already knew or been exposed to, but as I said, I feel like it's good to have it all in one place and I would definitely recommend it to people looking for a good essentials kit for feminism.

unlike many of the readers of this book, i didn't know of it via podcasts and such, i actually wanted to read it because i am a big fan of the illustrator (tyler feder!)

i really liked this book as it discusses feminism in the western (largely american) world, and how feminism has evolved. my favorite parts were the last few chapters, discussing friendship and insecurity, but i also really liked the chapter about insecurity!

i like that this book is very accurate (idk what the right word is, but it cites all of its information, and is very factual)!

i think this book is good for anyone who wants to learn more hard data about feminism, and also learn more about the history of feminism.

AUDIOBOOK USERS - This book utilizes a pdf fairly frequently to illustrate certain points, and while this is fun for sighted people and purchasers of the book, your library copy of the audiobook might not have access to the pdf, and pdfs are not read-able by many text-to-speech screen readers, so blind readers might get annoyed as well. Generally, the book is very informative, though. The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't cover as much about trans individuals as I was hoping. I still like the book and would recommend it to my sighted cis-gendered friends any day, but I'm not sure that my trans friends would like it as much.

Can I rate it again to give 10 stars?! This book is stellar and I only wish I had more young women in my life in need of gifts! Frankly, there are lots of things that even seasoned “grown-up” feminists are unlikely to know and I was pleasantly surprised how much I learned even after following the authors on their podcasts for years. This book is well-researched and substantive, which can’t be said for every “girl power” branded tome out there. This is what we need more of in the world, thank you!
