Whoaa. I'm still struggling with my emotions after this read.

Jessica Sorenson tackled so many serious issues in this series that I am left breathless. The things these characters had to survive, well it's haunting and quite powerful. I had to take breaks at times because it seemed like too much for someone to deal with.

The book was very fast-paced and answered a lot of questions I was left asking after reading The Coincidence but I also feel like it opened up a ton more questions that I NEED answered. I'm hoping that there is a continuation of Kayden & Callie in Luke's book (read about it here).

Callie was my favorite part of this book, which is rare considering my affinity for BBF's. She was strong and forceful in all the ways that Kayden needed to get better. I loved seeing her grow and watching as she struggled with how to handle each new thing but somehow managed to do just the right thing every time.

I really enjoyed reading more about Luke and Seth as well. The secondary characters played a very large role this time and it was fun to see as their friendship developed and strengthened.

It just wouldn't be a Jessica Sorenson book without a cliffhanger right? Prepare yourself because there is one and it's kind of a shocker, not quite as shocking as in The Coincidence but still it's something even I didn't anticipate.

I'll just be here, waiting impatiently for January 2014. *sigh*

What a let down, nothing happen. The end is blah, had great expectations for this one because I loved the first one...

I really loved the first book, like i REALLY loved it, but this one was just never ending.
SpoilerSome parts were alright, but most of it was just me wanting to shake some sense into that boy.
I know you have issues you need to work on, but don't push away the only person who loves you Kayden.
And I really thought that this book would be the ending; their HEA, but no. So many loose ends.
Let's just hope that their third book will make up for this one.

Okay, I can't say I'm disappointed with this book. It wrapped things up nicely in my opinion, buuut I found myself annoyed most of the time. The dependent relationship that Callie and Kayden found themselves in was, in a word, clingy. They both have these dark secrets that cause them to be skittish when with other people but they have found each other and put their whole (most) trust into the other so I get where the clingy-ness comes from, I do, I just wish they could have worked more on their inner strength as well as grow together in terms of a couple. I guess towards the end we do see them "nut up" but a majority of the book was spent watching them gravitate towards each other but fight those feelings then turn around and have sex. A lot of sex. Don't get me wrong I'm fine with the steamy scenes but if you dissect this book it would probably end up being a whole lot shorter (at least a couple chapters worth) without the sex scenes. So in the end I still like their story, I just wish we had seen more personal growth. I probably won't read their final book.

ahhh this book was so emotional and Kayden broke my heart so much! Callie was defeinetely the strongest for both of them! Despite what she went through and how she was in the first book, she changed and grew so much! She was the glue that held them together. The first book was Callie falling apart and Kayden being there for her and helping her. This book was Kayden finally crumbling from his shitty childhood and Callie being there for him. This book still left some unanswered questions. Thats why I only gave it 4 stars because the whole thing with his parents, Caleb and even Luke just basically left me hanging and wanting to know what happened. Which now we have to wait for the next book and I cant wait for Luke and Violet books. Although I don't see Violet as a likable person but I loved Luke.

I don't know what it is about these two but I simply love them. Callie and Kayden are picking up the pieces of the aftermath. The first book was a lot about Callie's confession. This one is more about Kayden and his demons. And Kayden has some pretty nasty demons. And he's fighting and struggling with them. I think the story is very respectful of both of their issues. And is also not too graphic with the NA stuff either. I thought it was a great story with characters I still love. I'm so excited there are more books in the series!!

Emotional read, but there were one too many loose ends for me. Loved the growth of Callie and how she helped Kayden pull himself out of the pits of despair. Now to wait for Luke's story.
