I guess I just love Leta Blake’s writing. Don’t know what more to say. It is a special talent to write something heavy and/or unbelievable in a respectful, light and believable sort of way. Plot isn’t original. And it would be soo easy to do reincarnation story wrong. But this was done very well and I truly enjoyed it. Ok, parts was hard to believe and felt a bit simplified, but it was written so well and in such a style, it didn’t detract from story at all.
Very well done.

What a beautiful story. Sad at times, but never overwhelming. It was different. Both the story and the way it was written. It's not fantasy, nor realistoc
It is past, present and future mic
Xed together from two viewpoints. It could have gone so wrong, but it worked so well.

It was an interesting plot, but I can't really tell if I liked it or not..

I guess I liked the plot, but not the plot drivers, nor did I necessarily like either character - especially Neil (old Neil). I couldn't really see his qualities or why Joshua would pine over him for 20 years (apart from the grief and the what-ifs, I get those).

Any Given Lifetime was a freaking roller coaster of emotion. I couldn't tell if I was crying because of the sudden case pink eye i developed or the emotional beating I took as I read this story.

Neil and Joshua had such a heart breaking story. The depth of their pain and love was astounding.

Very good. Not really a "romance novel"

If I'd expected a literary novel with much death and pain, I think I would have enjoyed this more quickly. But I thought it was a romance novel. It was like expecting cotton candy and getting steak. It's a very good, well written story. But it's not silly or fluffy or fun. It's heartrending and tearjerking. It made me cry.

So sweet

Honestly, this was one of the most beautiful stories that I've ever read. I loved how Joshua was able to experience having more than one true love in his life. I'll definitely be reading this book again in the future.

Grade: C

I started this book on audio, but switched to the kindle version halfway through. John Solo's narration didn't work for me. Unfortunately, it wasn't just the narration that didn't work. Leta Blake gave literally every character in this book (except maybe Derrick) a tragic or difficult backstory. There was very little lightness in the story. Neil was mostly angry (not just grumpy, but unpleasantly angry), Joshua was anxiety riddled and spent so much of the book sad. I felt the author failed to make me understand why Joshua and Neil were so obsessed with each other. She told us they were, but I never saw why. In fact,
Spoilerthe romance I was rooting for, and the one that was the sweetest, was between Joshua and Lee
.

In the end, I didn't really connect well with either main character and never felt much emotional impact from the story. Except for Lee. He was character I most connected with and felt emotional about.
