It was fine. I don’t know why I thought this would be darker but it felt a bit more tame until
Jameson killed Luke,
and even that felt  subdued.

It was a nice addition to the series. I can’t wait to read Natty’s story! Her history seems the type of dark I am expecting from an MC series.

"That's my fvcking baby!"

"Yeah, well that's my fvcking wife."

- Small town
- MC romance
- Pregnant FMC (the baby isn't his)
- Marriage of convenience
- Childhood friends/it's always been you
- No breakup
- Forced proximity
- 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
- Dual POV
- Dual narration (available on Hoopla)

Premise: You grew up in an MC club and are now having the VP's baby. But he wants nothing to do with you, so you flee alongside the president to a rival club, and he asks you to fake marry him so he can protect you both.

After Where We Belong left me down so hard, I was desperate for this book to be good. Thankfully, it delivered. These two have had feelings for each other since high school but never acted on them—and then it was too late when she got pregnant with the VP's baby.

But Jamie isn't going to let her go again, and a fake marriage is the perfect excuse! He's the quintessential protective and possessive book boyfriend with several iconic scenes, including the quote above and the SPICE, good lord 😮‍💨. My earbuds nearly melted!

The existing crew was a strong presence, and I loved the ending (well, except for the sneak peek at book four 👀). Bring it on!

I screamed when I got the email I was going to be an ARC reader for this book, I have been here since Wes and Callie's story. I am so excited we are at Jameson and Penelope's story now and is it a good one!!! I am normally not a big fan of the pregnancy trope but after reading this book I may have changed my tune a little bit. I loved watching Jameson slowly fight for Penelope and her fighting her attraction and losing!! Having them know eachother since they were 13 and get flashbacks from the past to give us more insight into their past and give us the build up we need for their story was so amazing and a great touch to the story and I felt so connected to see their present and past stuff and the stuff they struggled with. I honestly can't wait for book 4 to come out, I really don't want this series to end but I know it is coming and soon.

I am obsessed with this series and this book did not disappoint. I love a she's pregnant but it's not his baby/marriage of convenience and this book was it!

I really loved Jameson and Penelope together. These two had so much mutual pining between each other so the angst was there and I live for that because it just makes the build up to the moment these books have all the better!

Jameson..Oh he has loved Penelope for so long but had to watch her have a relationship with another right in front of him because he felt she deserved so much more than to be part of the MC life. And Penelope she loved Jameson since she was young but when he never returned the feelings towards her she moved on and realized he was not all she thought he was.

These two were just perfect for each other and meant to be. I loved this book and I can not wait for the next book because I have been so intrigued by Natty and Silas since book 1
