Not the best book by Mitch Albom, but it was a nice and light read. Looking forward to the next one!

I read this in an afternoon -- a very readable story. It is a story about sons and mothers. Baseball and unrealized dreams. About giving up, and getting a second chance.
My favorite passage describes the author's conversation with a mountain climber. The author asks which is harder, ascending or descending? He answers, without a doubt, descending because ascending you are so focused on reaching the top that you are careful to avoid mistakes. In contrast, the backside of the mountain is a fight against human nature: "You have to care as much about yourself on the way down as you did on the way up." And so it is with life.
Yep, lots of wisdom in this book...

Phenomenal! I just love the way Mitch albom tells a story, and the fact that he reads his own audiobooks, it really helps mail in the verbal inflection! 10/10 would recommend

i think i expected this book to be much more moving than what it was. it wasn’t terrible but it also didn’t leave me with any real feelings about it one way or the other
