Sorry but I did not like Harlow, he didn’t deserve Teddy.

Harlow was so selfish. I was rooting for Teddy to take the job. It was pointed out that Harlow doesn’t spend extra money so he can send money to his mom, but he is wearing designer sweats and jeans? Lack of consistency.

Although the premise is cute as hell, because who doesn't love a meet cute, but Harlow takes it way too far. He sees romantic gestures where there isn't, ignores the person right in front of him, his best friend Teddy, and when he gets his heart broken over and over again, he can't understand why. While I dove in expecting something sweet, this book was a lesson in frustration. Harlow was so blind, I wanted to shake him until he understood, and even when he did, it wasn't as satisfying as it should be.

Meh. I really loved Teddy, but I didn't warm up to Harlow. He was rather shallow and downright mean to and dismissive of Teddy at times. I had to agree with Ezra, who didn't really understand what Teddy saw in Harlow. The attempts at meet cutes felt contrived, the plot surrounding Marnie's wedding felt off and the last few chapters felt like one long epilogue moving at breakneck speed. Overall I've read better books by KM Neuhold.

5 stars…
It’s Neuhold… it’s friends to lovers… and it was angsty. Of course I loved it and ate this up so fast reading at 3am one night. No question.
Loved Teddy just pining away and crying in the club over Harlow constantly running around looking for Mr Right while he’s standing there like… but like what about me… clearly Harlow was blind because Teddy is the bomb and I love the friends to lover crap!
2/5 on spice. 1/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears.

Maybe a bit over the top sweet, but still perfect for reading while trying to forget the pain.

1.5 stars. Ugh, no. I thought it might have been fun from the summary, but instead it was this clicheé, eye-roll inducing, annoying thing that never seemed to end. I didn’t like Harlow at all, finding him to be a selfish ass. The meet-cute obsession he had made me cringe. I felt bad for Teddy, who deserved better but was mostly a doormat. It was all utterly predictable. “Laugh out loud moments”? More like loud exclamations of “are you kidding me???” whenever it took the next stupid turn.
This author has been a hit or miss for me from the start, but unfortunately more on the miss side lately. It’s probably going to be a while until I dare to pick up another one because this one really put me off.
