I tried but I can’t finish it… there’s nothing rly wrong with it per say, the writing is fine but it’s not my cup of tea at all. The private scenes cringed me out too hard and I don’t like the way dax handles conflict. The just friends to reluctantly lovers trope also isn’t for me. I really wanted to like it!!

Once again Claire brings us a fun, heartwarming, sexy rom com that will leave you swooning. Flirting with Forever is a single dad, neighbors to lovers romance. I adored Nora, Dex and his daughter Riley. Nora and Dex were not looking for love but could not deny their attraction the more time they spent together. One of my favorite parts of the story was Nora and Riley’s friendship. I loved that Nora fit in perfectly with Dex’s quirky family. This story was full of hilarious moments (the bounce slide part had me hysterically laughing) and some moments that will tug at your hearts strings.

Vanessa Edwin and Stephen Dexter narrate this book and were the perfect duo for Nora and Dex. Vanessa was great at delivering Nora’s personality and emotions, Stephen was great at portraying Dex’s grumpy personality and they way he cared for his family. They both did a wonderful job bringing Claire’s words to life.

I really enjoyed this series!! I read the first 3 all back to back at the end of last year, but it was so easy getting back into the story line! I can’t wait to read more from Claire Kingsley!!

Why am I so obsessed with kids in books? I don’t even have kids. I don’t even know if I like kids. But the bond that Nora and Riley had made my ovaries do a little dance. Single parent romances are always such a surprise win for me.

This was my second favorite of the series after book 1 which I loved. Books 2 and 3 were just ok and I’ll admit I was bored during most of them. But this was a great ending to the series.

Perfect ending to the series

What can I say? I plowed through this series in less than a week. I didn’t want it to end but I also wanted to see Nora get her happily ever after. What a great collection of stories. Dex and Nora are probably my favorites, but I am such a sucker for single dad stories. Can’t wait to dive into another series by this author.

soooo worth the wait!!

I have loved the Dirty Martini Club from the moment I read the first book. This mishmash of amazing women, so seemingly different from each other in every way, yet they so perfectly come together to form their circle of trust. It’s such a beautiful thing to see such strong women supporting each other. I’d give anything to be their friend! We have seen Nora throughout the series, and I was definitely not alone in anxiously awaiting her story. And CK did NOT disappoint!

It. Was. Perfection.

Who would have thought Nora Lakes would find her HEA with a guy like Dex? A swoony hot tattooed single dad. Not a suit wearing executive. But much like their circle of trust is formed by seemingly opposite women, Nora’s HEA is the perfect fit because he is so much not a copy of Nora. And Nora bonding with Dex’s daughter??? Cue the tears! I adored their relationship. I love that they became so attached before Nora and Dex did. The scenes with the guys confronting Dex were hilarious, and perfection. I seriously never want to leave this world. And thankfully, since I’m a chronic rereader anyway, I won’t have to. I will keep this series in my regular reread rotation so I can visit them all again.

Ok I love the single dad trope and I enjoyed the build up of the relationship between Dex and Nina, they had great chemistry. I also loved the relationship between Nina and Riley, that was super sweet and I liked the Riley was an older child.

HOWEVER! The miscommunication actually wrecked the whole book for me. I could tell what was coming pretty early on and it was just really infuriating to read. I absolutely hate it when there’s a miscommunication and the characters don’t talk it out like normal human adults and just jump to stupid conclusions. And then when he realised he was wrong and did the “bold gesture of love” it was so fucking cringey and lame and gross and unnecessary.
