This book was recommended to me by a TikToker and I loved it. I inhaled this book in one sitting. I love mafia books and this book gave me that and soooo much more! The spice was incredible, the plot had me questioning what was coming next, and the characters had secrets that I yearned to learn. Haley Jenner is a new author for me, and I would love to read more of her work. Bravo!

oh how I love mafia romance ❥
this book follows Bianca (18) and Vincent (30). Bianca is born into the mafia and is arranged to marry another man before unfortunate events happen - and she is set up to marry Vincent instead. after quite some push and pull the two develop feelings for each other and find their safe haven.
this book was well written, had a good pace and some quality smut. The things that kept it from a 5 star rating was the amount of times Vincent called her a ‘whore’. the way this was used it didn’t give me sexy vibes but the ick instead.
And I got the feeling I missed something in the relationship developing, it felt like it skipped a step between push/pull & declaring their love.
besides these things it certainly kept me entertained so I will be reading the second book soon!

I love listening to new authors, and now I have a new romantic suspense writer to follow! Haley Jenner pens the first book in the Lies of the Underworld series. Bianca has been raised knowing her future. She will be married off for the good of the family. But she gets herself into a predicament protecting her sister and is now forced to marry the enforcer. Vincent has had his eye on Bianca and knows she is the one for him. But he doesn't make life easy. And he isn't afraid of the blood on his hands. Their story is filled with twists and turns as they settle into marriage, and the surprises just keep coming! Bianca is a strong woman, but at times her insecurities got in her way. Good thing Vincent was there to put her mind at ease. He is not the easiest man to love, but her heart is his! I enjoyed this one, from the dirty talk to passion, and the story is fantastic! I didn't see some of the twists coming! Can't wait for the next book!

Ready to take on anything, she is strong, and in next breath, she is insecure in her new relationship. I loved how she kept her tough through it all. Snow comes in with his growlie, alpha voice and creates Vincent exactly as I would expect him. His voice wraps around Bianca and then easily instills fear into his enemies. This is the perfect team for this listen and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Wow this story was WOW! I absolutely loved this story and both characters. Bianca is a feisty female character. Also, a strong one and will do anything to protect the people she loves. Vincent is an enforcer in the mafia world and he won’t hesitate to eliminate you if you cross him. He gives off power vibes, just as how a mafia man should. I loved both characters in this story. They are goals, very possessive of one another. I definitely recommend this audio. Both narrators did an amazing job and the their voices just went perfectly with the character.
