Wow what a roller coaster ride of emotions!
The story started with the cliffhanger we had and the previous book, and the mysterious guy became our main antagonist in this second book. So many twists and turns here. And I'm so angry about the deaths that happened; one doesn't deserve it at all and the other deserves a longer one. Unjustly destroyed is exactly what it says; Emma goes through so much shit in life that she is unjustly destroyed, together with her friend Tyler, and maybe her boyfriend Grayson too. It is a very heartbreak and frustrating read; in the whole book, Emma and Grayson's relationship was a dance of one step forward, two steps back. Emma kept hiding truths from Grayson and he went over the top possessive and controlling. And just like how I said it in the first book's review, the whole masochist-sadist dynamic doesn't work well here at all, especially in the last 5-10% of the book. Otherwise, it was an amazing read overall. Now on to the last book because after that last cliffy, I need to know what happens next.

Let me start by saying that I don't give out 5 star reviews lightly or often. For me, a 5 star review is reserved for books that stay with me long after I have read them; books that take me on a journey. This is one of those books. I enjoyed the first book in the series but this one is just so much more. I loved Grayson and Emmalin in Incapable, but in Unjustly Destroyed I love them even more. Emmalin is a survivor in every sense of the word. She is broken, but not destroyed. And Grayson just entrenches himself in your heart even more in this book. In Unjustly Destroyed, Marie Skye takes us on a whirlwind of emotions with these characters. Be prepared, because as a reader you will be taken on an emotional journey that will make you cry, make you fall in love all over with these characters and maybe even make you a little angry. I cannot wait until the third book in this series because I need to know what happens next for these two characters as well as for Isabella and Chace. I have a Kindle Unlimited subscription so I could borrow these books as part of my monthly payment. However, I plan to re-read this series again, so I purchased the books just to put on my "keeper" shelf on my kindle.

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this book through a giveaway on Sassy Savvy Fabulous PR. This did not influence my opinion and the thoughts expressed are my own.

Unjustly destroyed by Marie Skye
I could NOT put this book down at all. I read it in a few hours! Saying it's amazing , isn't doing it justice! I give it 5 stars. But I would definitely give it more if I could!!
This books is full of drama, suspense.. Oh and love, we can't forget the love! I think every woman on this planet wants to be loved like that! I know , I do!!! The chemistry and the connections amongst the characters is amazing! Marie Skye does it again… Such a fantastic book! I can't wait to read the third one and see what happens next!! This series is my newest addiction… I absolutely love it!!
Graysonis an extremely controlling and possessive man. He will stop at nothing to protect those near and dear to his heart. He is a very powerful man with a lot of different connections in the outside world.
Emmalin she loves Grayson like no other. She has never felt this kind of love and connection with anyone like him.. Ever!! But she has a past and She is doing her best to keep it a secret.
Someone from Emmalin’s past comes and haunts her. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants and that even includes killing anyone that gets in the way.
Can Grayson help before its too late? Or will be he be a casualty? You HAVE to read this book to find out!!

Wow Emmalin keeps her past a secret even now, I want to shake her. My heart breaks for Grayson, he loves Emmalin, she is his everything. But with her past slowly coming back to get her, her flight instinct kicks in. Emmalin will do anything and everything in her power to protect Grayson from her past. Grayson knows that Emmalin is hiding something and he will stop at nothing to protect her. He is very determined man. Emmalin has changed from the person she was to someone no one recognizes. Their relationship changes, the dynamic changes. I understand that everything is stressful but her not trusting Grayson is just as frustrating for me. They could have something amazing if she would just open her whole heart to him. It's really heartbreaking. Grayson is ready to fight for her, for their love, and for her to realize she is a victim. He keeps fighting for them and she keeps pulling away.

I cried and cried and cried, this book is heartbreaking. You have to read Incapable before this book. Fair warning get tissues.

Unjustly Destroyed (Incapable Book 2) by Marie Skye

5 times like a million stars

Destroyed is the perfect word to be in the title of this book, because that word is perfect for what I am feeling right now. My review for the first book of this series pretty much sums up just how much I love this author, but I'm mad at her right now because she has left me shattered after reading this book. I can honestly say I've never cried so much while reading a story. I have read both of the first two of this series today and have every intention of reading the third as soon as I'm done with this review. I'm also planning on getting no sleep tonite and being completely worthless tomorrow but I don't care.

You have to read book 1 before reading this story, I can't imagine reading this one as a standalone.

The continued story of Emmalin and Grayson takes us on a journey of these two falling even deeper in love but Emmalin’s past has caught up to her and she will do whatever it takes to protect what they have and she most importantly will protect Grayson, even if it means not protecting herself.

Grayson knows something is wrong. She's pulling away from him, she's hiding something and he can not figure out what or who it is, but he is determined to find out and eliminate whatever or whoever it might be. He will not lose her.

Emmalin is being threatened mentally and physically, she's just trying to find a way to make it go away, when tragedy strikes she decides to take things into her own hands, which doesn't end well. Can Grayson get to her in time and can he bring her back from the dark before he loses her forever?

Brilliant is the word that comes to mind for Marie Skye, simply brilliant!! Read these books, you will not be sorry!!!

FIVE STARS
Again in this book Marie Skye has captured it all. The love, the fear, the determination. All the emotions that go along with it.
Emmalin and Grayson have proved yet again how far each of them will go to protect those that they love. The rang of emotions that you go through in each of her books is endless. Yet again we are left with a cliffhanger and can only wait to see what happens in book 3.
On the edge of my seat and even inwardly jumping from suprise or fear, this book keeps you in suspense and you just HAVE to keep reading to see what happens next. Emmalin is truely one of the strongest, submissive, characters i have ever read. Grayson while a true dominate alpha male is truely devoted and in love with Emmalin.
Emmalin has to over come so much that you can only ask yourself how does she even handle this. She has to be some kind of super hero right? Grayson is such a wonderful man the way he helps Emmalin heal and overcome the most recent injuries.
I am trying to write this so that you will go read this book. I want to discuss so much of it but how on Earth do I do that without spoiling anything. Its Simple really GO READ THIS BOOK.
You will want to read Incapable first as it is part one and without it you wont get the full understanding of book 2. And oh my what amazing books they are.

Unjustly Destroyed is the second book by Marie Skye and it follows on from where Incapable finishes. I could not wait to get my hands on this book after Incapable finished on such a cliff-hanger. I was not disappointed, I loved it just as much as the first book. Incapable must be read before this book – Unjustly Destroyed is not a standalone novel.

Emmalin is still hiding from her past, her secrets and who she really is. But he’s finally caught up with her. Back to destroy her once and for all with his smug smiling face. He’s going to ensure that she’s in pain and she going to fight like hell to stop him. She’s at her limit; she’ll do anything to protect Grayson, to protect herself.
Grayson knows that she’s hiding something, someone from him. He won’t stop until he finds out what it is. Something is pulling her away, keeping her from him. She’s completely different – changed. He absolutely refuses to sit back and let something come between them again.

I have to admit this story got a little darker than I expected but I still really enjoyed it. There were plenty of unexpected twists and turns with one major cliff-hanger again at the end. I can’t believe I need to wait again – I think this author is trying to make me crazy!! Again I encountered lots of different emotions whilst reading this book. We definitely see a shift in the relationship between Emmalin and Grayson as they try and deal with their own issues as well as support each other. The book delves into BDSM slightly more than the first book, so be warned! It is however excellently written.
I literally cannot wait for book 3 and hopefully the conclusion to Emmalin and Grayson’s story.

I give 5 stars to Unjustly Destroyed by Marie Skye.

Due to its content this book is intended for 18+ readers only.

Unjustly destroyed by Marie Skye part 2 -- 5 stars

I started writing this review while I was only 10% into the story. Here’s what I was thinking: WTF! OMG! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? So of course I kept reading! This book picks up where part one left off so you must read that one first. Part two starts off with tension, hurt, and fear…oh my! Grayson and Emmalin are trying so hard to be together. They aren’t trying to hurt anyone or bother anyone they just want to be together. But alas, Marie Skye seems to be just a little twisted and wants them and us, the readers, to suffer just a little more than necessary.
The love these two have for each other is overwhelming to not only me, but even Emmalin. It’s the trust that she has to work on.

“I knew I had a choice, and while I’ve never safeworded him ever, I knew I had a choice. I briefly weighed my options. He wasn’t physically hurting me. I wasn’t in danger. I was just frustrated and annoyed."

When the past becomes too much for Emmalin to handle, instead of turning to her friends and even Grayson, she tries to handle everything her own way. And before we know it Grayson’s past jumps into the present to cause even more confusion and hurt.
After I had read the entire book my thoughts didn’t stray too much from my thoughts at the beginning!
Omg! Really it ended like that!! My heart hurts at the thought of how much heartbreak these two are going through. SO looking forward to reading the next part…here’s hoping Grayson and Emmalin fight hard enough for their happy ever after!

Unjustly destroyed is the second and unbelievably amazing book in the Incapable Series by Marie Skye. It follows on from where Incapable left off; and if you haven’t read Incapable yet- you really should because it’s honestly THAT GOOD! Reading the first book also sets you up for this one and will allow you to fully appreciate this story.
Emmalin Ross is desperately trying to escape the demons and trauma of her past. She has endured so much pain and sorrow in her life, most people would have given up by now- so the fact that she is still fighting is a testament to how strong, determined and gutsy she really is.
Grayson Mandrake is used to getting anything he wants and he wanted Emmalin from the moment he saw her. He even bought the company she worked for, to manoeuvre her into working for him. He will do anything and everything for Emmalin.
“She is fu*king mine…… My sl*t. My Vixen. My Heart. My World, and more importantly….. My Love”.
When Emmalin’s past begins to haunt her and opens up old wounds, Emmalin starts to unravel- and does everything she can to push Grayson away. She’s behaving quite differently from normal, but still needs sex as a way to deal with the pain and emotional turmoil she is experiencing.
“She wanted it rough and she wanted to fight, and I was going to give that to her”.
Grayson knows that Emmalin is hiding things from him and he is determined to find out what they are and deal with them. He is tenacious and unrelenting in his desire to keep her safe and help her defeat her demons. Outside forces seem to be conspiring to keep them apart and Grayson doesn’t cope well with not being in control of the situation.
“I am losing it. I feel like I don’t know what I am doing. For the first time in my life, I have absolutely no control over something and it’s driving me fu*king crazy………”
After reading the first book and being blown away by it, this book had a lot to live up to! Marie Skye did not disappoint!! This is much darker, more intense and explicit than the first book. From the very first paragraph to the very last word, I was engrossed- bingeing on this diabolically GOOD read. The story left me breathless and reeling- I didn’t need sleep…..I NEEDED ANSWERS!!
As with the first book, Ms. Skye has produced a really well written and salivatingly good story that has so many twists and turn, I found myself holding my breath and on the edge of my seat.
The chemistry between Emmalin and Grayson has increased to an almost animalistic level; when they get caught up in their passion- it’s so hot I swear my panties melted. Cold showers are the order of the day. Ms. Skye had me swooning over all the kinky details.
This story is told from a duel POV and ends in a cliff-hanger. The, “I screamed at my kindle” kind of cliff-hanger…. But I also know that I really, really can’t wait to get my hands on the next book so I can continue the story. It made me wish I was good friends with the author so I could call her (because a Good Friend would have her number- right?) and get an inside scoop on book three.
This book made me a junkie and Marie Skye is my Fix!

Thank-you Ms. Skye. >Air Kisses<
