Everyone in the Scottish Bookshop series cracks me up. I love it when the characters are a bit outlandish, and I haven't thought about it before, but the characters always being so willing to discuss so much with a near stranger is both true to life and outrageous. I think to myself, "Who would tell all of that to a stranger?!" but there are so many times in life we get info dumped on by a stranger after a brief meeting in the grocery store; I imagine a traumatic event like a murder makes it even worse.
I do need Edwin to quit being so annoyingly vague. Why can't he tell people things?! I understand the answer is "plot reasons," but I don't enjoy it. Haha.

I love a cozy mystery, but tend to prefer the classics over current titles. That said I also love a bookstore mystery and Scotland, this was getting good reviews, so I thought “why not?”.
It was a bummer that it was in first person, never great for a mystery. It was also a bummer we spent almost no time in the bookstore, and other than providing a reason for the characters to gather, it didn’t really figure in to the mystery. Maybe this is why you shouldn’t jump in to a series at #8.
The actual mystery was ok, but nothing I was dying to solve.
I did like the characters, there was some good interplay between them, and some more of their personalities rubbing each other the wrong way or joining in the fun would have been great. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy all of the group tour portions of the story, and I did end up enjoying them.
A mixed bag for me. I do think I’ll go back to the beginning of the series and see if I enjoy the early books a bit more.

Another solid installment of this cozy mystery series. I need to find another one set in Scotland. Thinking about being in Edinburgh/Scotland might be my favorite part of these books.
A very enjoyable read I have read many boks by Paige Shelton. This is the second book in this series I have read. I was able to pick up on the characters without a problem, Delaney is amazing with all the twist and turns they had me guessing till the end of the book. Looking forward to reading mor of her books in this series and other. Thank You
Like the series, but was not a fan of the ending of this book. Confusing mashup of characters and motives.
joyful read
I’m torn between wanting to visit Scotland and feeling as tho I’ve been.
Paige’s book are like going for a walk with an old friend and doing a catch up about common acquaintances.
I’m throughly enamored with all her books!
