First of all, I gotta say that I LOVE this series. Every single Drake brother and every badass heroine in it. Second: god damn it, what was that ending?? OMG! KIERAN! I need the 5th book like right freaking now

Christabel and Connor's book! This one, looking back, isn't as insanely memorable, not because our main character was boring, but because it was another look at a world we knew from the outside and not another corner inside it (which we know, sadly, is my very favorite). While it is like Lucy's in being an outsider's view, with Christabel we finally get the real outsider look.

Someone who hasn't been raised near this enough to have moxy and scream of having to handle it for her best friend and her sisters, but someone who is bright, shiny new. And in that, yes, there were some new ways of seeing things and handling things I hadn't expected. But of course I ended up loving it all so very, very, very much (even if they do pair people up like romance novels).

Oh my gosh! I don't know where to start. Maybe that the beginning was okay it really didn't grab me till Aiden kidnap Christabel like woe. And that Sol was being an ass to Lucy. I get it her blood is so freaking desirable but doesn't mean you have to act all rude. I didn't like this Sol as much as Lucy but I did enjoy reading about Sol drinking from Penelope. Lucy going to Helios-Ra Academy was huge turn also but I felt like it wasn't nessacary nothing dramatic happen anyway. Last was Christabel switch to a vamp. That was not definitively what I was expecting headlight right there. I don't like Christabel & Connor together don't ship it. Not saying I don't like them two...... I do but as separate individuals. At least there were more action. It was good overall.

I was so excited to get back to the Drakes, they are some of the most kick-ass vampires I have ever lost myself in, and I wasn't disappointed! I didn't realize how much I had missed the Drakes until I laid my hands on this book! I was, and am, so happy I read it! This was another great installment into the Drake series and it had everything it needed. This story was so cute, and Connor is way cooler than I ever thought. I loved getting to see more of Lucy and Nicholas as well. Solange is really disappointing and frustrating me. I am not excited for the next book for that reason. I just don't know what to think about Solange right now. This book had action, sarcasm, conflict, romance, and just about everything you can normally expect from a Drake book, other than how great it truly was! I loved most of this book, other than Solange. I hate to say it, but thats the truth. The end is really interesting, and now I am stuck reading the next book because of an awful cliff-hanger! Make sure you have the next book handy for when you finish this one, because not only does this book leave you hanging, it leaves you drooling!

The lore was interesting but this read like an unedited draft.

Once again, the fourth book in the Drake Chronicles series' main selling point is how fun it is to read. It's packed with action, fluffy romance and a supernatural world with twists and turns. Christabel was a nice addition especially since her character was particularly relatable. However, I did find her and Connor's relationship to be rushed and developed less organically when compared to the other romances from earlier on in the series. Would recommend for anyone looking for a fun and easy read.

In this novel we get to read about Conner Drake. He is the computer and all around tech brother of the group. I will admit that I wasn't too thrilled to step back into the Drake Chronicles since my favorite brother is now taken. I was a huge Logan fan and wasn't really into Conner in the other books. Even though it isn't the sexy Logan this time, I still sat down and finished this book in one day.

We also get to me Lucy's cousin, Christabel. She is opposite to Lucy in the fact that she would rather be sitting down reading instead of out socializing with friends. Give her a copy of Pride and Prejudice and she is a happy camper. When a different breed of Hel-Blar kidnap Christabel instead of Lucy by mistake, the Drake's set out in search of her and have choices to make with the Na-Foir.

While I love the writing style of Alyxandra Harvey and her world revolving around the Drake family, I just couldn't get into this book as much as I did with the previous ones. I never could feel the spark between Conner and Christabel. The writer doesn't disappoint though on action considering the first few pages of the book jump directly into it!

While this wasn't my favorite of the series, this series still has plenty of potential. The writing is still great and getting better with each one along with the fact that she is including many of the characters from previous books. The author also does a wonderful job of explaining things without going overboard in case a reader happens to read them out of order.

I love this series..Can't wait for the next book.

It seemed a bit unrealistic that Christabel was suddenly okay with being turned into a vampire... I felt like Alyxandra was creating a series where at least one main character represented a different species... (human, vampire, hunter...)

Bleeding Hearts starts a few months after Out for Blood, in which the blood moon is fast approaching, Lucy is feeling isolated and abandoned by the Drakes and Lucy’s cousin Christabel is coming to town

I really liked finding out more about the Hel-Blar and how there society works. I also liked how Lucy is back as a main character and how the past two books has affected as a person.

My favourite character in this book is Connor as I totally get his sense of humour and we like similar stuff as him, as in I get the Firefly and Star Wars references and I read fantasy books because the good guys always win like him.

However I did not connect with Christabel as while we both like reading, I felt all of her characteristics were not realistic and were only there to create obstacles. I also felt no spark between Connor and Christabel as it did not seem they would like each other that way in real life and this was disappointing as this was the relationship I was looking forward to, however Nicholas and Lucy’s relationship made up for it.

This book felt a bit like a middle book and end on a cliff-hanger which will make you itch to pick up Blood Moon straight away. I would recommend this book to all who liked the rest of Harvey’s books.
