I loved this book, I don't know hom many times I cried but it was sooo good.

There was just, if I didn't add the fast forward in the epilogues wrong, littles inconsistencies about the ages of the characters. But it's not that important it didn't impact on how much I liked the book

This book. Holy smokes. I devoured it in hours. I could not put it down! My heart shattered for Zach. In so many ways. I really loved how he took control and didn’t give his ex one say in anything. Enter Denise who was honestly blindsided by him but she couldn’t say no. Not to Jumping Jack or his sexy as sin father. I love how this one also intertwines with the previous books in the series!
There are so many moments I loved in this book. Denise is sassy but she is so freaking sweet. I loved her character very much. She gives as good as she gets in a lot of situations. And she is so protective of the ones she loves. Zach…. Oh my stars! Zach is utterly sinful. Yes, I have a thing for hockey players and Zach was just wow! I did shed some tears in this one. There are moments where it will break you. But it was such a beautiful story and ending.
Overall, I think this is one of my favorites in the series! If you love Madison’s writing, this one is just as amazing. Plus, Madison can really write a deranged ex! Oh she needed a smack! If you love hockey, and a swoon worthy romance, pick up this one. You will not be disappointed.

If this book doesn't make you cry, you need to find a friend and have them check to see if you still have a pulse. There are little moments of joy, of perfection, of heartache all throughout this book. And, I admit it, there were some sniffles.

But, nothing prepared me for the absolute perfection of the last line of the book and for the moment where all was 100% ok. I needed this, I needed the epilogue to let me know that things worked out, that they all got the happy ending they deserved.

In a story about someone who is a parent, you have to make sure there is a relationship with the child, but also there is a romance for the adults...and this romance has to happen with or without the child. Let me explain. I have to believe that they love one another, and this is a relationship they would pursue if the child wasn't part of it.

Zack and Denise meet because Jack is ill and Denise is an oncology doctor. But, what happens is you fall in love with how much they all love one another. Zack loves his son. Denise develops a relationship with Zack, and with his son. And, you believe both of them, as while they are intertwined they are also separate.

While they are all falling in love with one another, you do the same. With the sheer joy that is Jack and his take on life and the people he loves; you love Jack. With the love Zack has for his son, and his willingness to make sure that he doesn't think people like his mother are the only kind of people in the world. You love him for how much he loves Denise, and for how much he just wants her in his life, even though he knows it is asking a lot. You love Denise for her heart, and her strength, and her loyalty. For the fact that she cares about the people she loves. And for the way she defends them against sickness, mean people and evil ex-wives. (We are not talking about Zach's ex here, we just aren't. I don't like her. And, that's all she gets in this review.)

See what I mean? Yes, this is a book about people who are brought together by a child's illness. But, by the end, it is about so much more than that...it's about love, in all it's forms.

Small disclaimer...technically this happens while Zack is waiting for his divorce to be final. But, don't worry...I promise, you won't feel like there is cheating. Also, while this is an interconnected story, it can be read as a standalone. Although, really, you should read the other books in the series.

I absolutely recommend this book. You are going to love it.

I read a lot of sports romance. Like, a lot of it. Baseball, Football, Basketball, you name it and I'm all over it. But I have to say, hockey playing heroes are finding a special place in my heart. Zack is a little bit of yummy goodness in a hockey jersey. He's a newly single father who moves his entire life after finding out that his wife is sleeping with a teammate. Not that the wife-poaching teammate is the reason he moves, his son is battling cancer and the best doctor for his son's case lives in New York.
Denise is an oncologist who specializes in children's cases and has a high success rate because she pushes further than most doctors are willing to. Not that you couldn't get emotionally invested in children battling cancer, but she seems to live and die with each case she takes. Once she meets Zack and Jack, she's in from the second they ambush her at her brother's home (coincidentally, her brother is a player on Zack's new team.)
Zack and Denise both admit to being attracted to each other, but neither one is really keen on giving into the attraction. Denise for obvious doctor/patient's family member reasons and Zack because he's still married. (My one big objection to this book: no time passes between leaving his marriage and meeting Denise. Yes, some time passes before they become involved but there's not even a separation filing. But it's not enough to make me stop reading or doesn't even really effect my rating. It makes me mad because it seems like he was wasting away in that marriage for no reason.)
But dear Lord, once they actually stop fighting their attraction and become involved, their love is so palpable. I loved reading their story and watching their lives start to intertwine before my eyes. The part that made me love Denise the most? Watching her go all mama bear on the one person she should never have had to.
I've never read Natasha Madison before and now I'm kicking myself while I download the first three books in this series. This book is a standalone, but characters obviously show up from the first three books and it's obvious there's some underlying subtext I'll understand once I read them. This book absolutely deserves 5 stars, I couldn't put my kindle down the second I started reading it!!!

I got this book as ARC for my honest review. Wow...there's not enough words to describe how much I love this book. Everytime I read a new book from Natasha Madison she blows my mind. This is so beautiful, is a story about hope, faith, friendships, family unity and what is more important love.

I liked this book. I'm just not sure how well it ties into the rest of the series. Denise is rarely mentioned before (only in Something So Irresistible) and they really aren't ever mentioned in the other books that deal with the same families. Other than that, it was a great book.

Jake and Denise have a really sweet story and I love that it has a happy ending for more than just them. Some scenes were sad and some of the subject matter (cancer) is really sad and hard to deal with, especially if you know someone who was/is affected by it.

I did like the 2 of them together though and I think the book was really good. I always enjoy a series where there are good characters throughout.
